In 2009, Glenn Beck was the king of the conservative movement, with record breaking audiences on his program on television on FOX, and a hit radio show. As it became clear that he was a bit of a “fringe†lunatic, and a fake crier, people began to turn off FOX. The CEO of FOX and the marketing team, in an attempt to distance themselves from Beck, ended their relationship.
Now Beck is claiming he will not vote Trump, and his audience is shrinking rapidly.

I've seen him a couple times on Fox and to me, he is starting to look like creepy clown. Maybe that's just my perception, I don't know.
I don't know what is going on with him but it seems like he is gong though a strange time in his life.
My sister emailed me a clip of him the other day. I responded,”when did Beck start transitioning”.
I used to like his friday morning shtick of calling up people from the phone book and asking them questions like, “Who built Disneyland?” But as the months went along he became meaner and meaner to the people he called. Plus his snarky friends are a bunch of losers. And then there are the scam artists he allows to advertise on his radio show.
I haven’t listened to the @sshole in months and have no plans to start up again. Laura Ingram beats his stupid show by a mile.

Don’t think he had total support from Fox and BRielly.
IMHO? He is overwhelmed with where we are and the world are going and he can't change it, he is watching it collapse no longer in slow motion by now it is at warp speed.. It is like he has been on the watch tower too long telling us what is about to go down, and it has worn him out almost PTSD-ish. Perhaps he should step away and let someone else run what he had created. FWIW I agree with some of the posters, all the addware that "Ghostery" stops when you go to the Blaze, my gosh it is a nightmare. Also joining the Blaze is a pain, every time I tried to do so on line his software barfed, like their is some magic decoder ring needed to get in....
It’s not really shocking, he always had a weird novelty act, and the problem with novelty is eventually the novelty wears off. I wonder if he’ll declare it was all fake. That’s always been my theory.

I agree with your assessment of him; he always did seem on the edge and more than a bit fragile.
Hope he can pull it together.

Have you tried the Rush Limbaugh books? I haven’t looked at them, but they seem to be selling pretty well.
Think we’re on the same page. His 5pm show was must see TV for a while. I remember leaving work early just to watch it.
And I feel he played a significant role in helping the Tea Party gain a foothold. He also did magnificent work, outing the progressive network within our political system with his chalk board.
But some time after the Restore rally he started believing his own press releases and sounded more and more like a TV preacher. He became agitated if anyone else got the spotlight. Politicians who didn’t appear on his show were smeared.
The world was ending unless we bought this book or this insurance plan or this gold or these seeds. He became way too out there for my liking.
I hadn’t listened to him in about 4 years, and so when I saw the story about him calling the Tea Party and Trump supporters racist, it did not surprise me.
Nor does this story. But it’s very sad to see. He really could have been a major mainstream voice in the conservative movement for years to come (I think he’s only 50). Now he’s just a side show, a fringe kook in the mold of Alex Jones.
I listen to a local show early in the morning that does something similar. They call gas stations or random people and ask them obscure historical or science based questions. A few days ago they called a gas station, and the gas station owner turned out to be some kind of super genius because not only did he get every question right, he began to EXPAND on the subjects, telling all there is to know about them. Laughed my ass off.
Even he said "I see myself talking to 9 people under a tree someday"...maybe he's self-destructing.
I bought the first one, about the pilgrims, and she’s currently working her way through it. If she likes it, I’ll buy the series.
Such a shame what’s happening in schools. In addition to revisionist history, many of the classics have been eliminated. She’s getting a few of those for Christmas, too.
I bought the first Rush Revere book. So far she likes it so I’ll be buying he others, too. I’m trying to put together a small library for her. Some things for now, some for later. “Road to Serfdom”, “Atlas Shrugged”, “Animal Farm” are just a few I’ve put away so far. I’m open to suggestions if you have any others.

Wish the Blaze would merge with Al-Jaezaerra, and we could watch the resultant combustion.
There once was a time when his Fox show was watched faithfully every afternoon. It was there we were introduced to Conservatives, Historians, and others -persons who might not be high on the radar and seen across the waves on a consistent basis. The fame, perhaps, came too fast and too easy for him. If nothing else, he is remembered as speaking up for Americans in the beginning when all seemed to be falling apart round our heads. After the extremely large DC rally he MCd, his staunch Conservatism seemed to fade as fast as he. Never having seen the Blaze and not hearing Beck on radio found the man was seldom missed. Enjoyed his show while at Fox and after that: out of sight, out of mind.
