In the past I have posted regarding my wife's mental illness and the tough times we have endured because of it. Now I am devastated to tell you all that our 19 year old daughter took her own life on November 23rd. She was diagnosed as bi-polar and was very distraught over her best friend's suicide last year.
I've never had to go through anything near this bad and I pray none of you ever do. The loss of one's child is beyond horrendous. So far we've been doing ok but there are periods of extreme grief out of the blue and many tears. She was laid to rest this past Monday.
I ask that anyone who is willing to please pray for my daughter and my entire family.

Praying for your daughter and your family and sadly sharing a memory of a similar event in my own family.
I am so so sorry rfreedom4u. I understand as I lost my 15 year old son a year and a half ago. It hurt so bad I couldn’t even post a prayer request here. In fact I never even acknowledged it here until after a year.
My only advice is not to feel guilty. It doesn’t matter if you are as pure in your relationships as the driven snow.... satan will fill your head with guilt about all the “shoulda’s”. Jesus loves you and your daughter. He is kind and merciful to an extent we cannot even imagine. Your child is at peace now, and doing a lot better than you are....... as is mine.
When you are ready, freepmail me. I will send you a letter I wrote about an answer to prayer that showed me my boy is ok and with Jesus. It might help.
I ask Jesus to find him and give him a hug as often as the grief sweeps over me. My son may be glad when I get there..... he won’t be interrupted as often. 8-)

Thank you. I am doing alright I guess. Although every day there is some reminder of her. Brings a tear to my eye but I don’t mind. It reminds me that she will forever be in my heart and memory.
