A conservative economic organization says its anti-Donald Trump ad campaign is one reason for the billionaire's sinking numbers in Iowa.
More than three weeks ago Club for Growth launched a $1 million TV buy in Iowa.
The ad buy may have helped. In a new poll of likely Iowa caucus participants conducted by Basswood Research, Trump has fallen into second place behind Dr. Ben Carson, 21 to 16 percent. Marco Rubio is five points behind Trump in third place.
The Hill reports the survey questioned 500 likely GOP caucus-goers and Club for Growth commissioned the poll.

At this point, because of the abuse, the mere existence of the H-1B visa program is unacceptable for at least 10-20 years while Americans with STEM degrees fill those jobs at market wages undistorted by Third World imports.
no amnesty——just keep them here and raise numbers of H1B
I thought Club for Growth was for men losing their hair too!
500% of the yearly amount would be roughly 85,000 x 5, because 20,000 foreign students are let in to work for private concerns. There have been years in which 125,000 H1-Bs were ultimately issued, because schools can also hire them and their hires don't count against the official limit. Defense contractors can have a pipeline extending 10 years, further complicating estimates of resident and citizenship conversions.
A poll of five hundred. Hmmm...useless. Most especially in a caucus process in which maybe a hundred and fifty thousand will vote. It’s doubtful that very many of those particular five hundred people will be among those coming out in a cold Iowa winter’s evening.
Somebody had a push poll done that is just the opposite of every other poll. Even RCP doesn’t include it it is so flatulant.
And that means more Americans having to train themselves out of their jobs.
I knew Cruz was a Senator. Major pejorative.
If yor friends all got together and told the pollsters, “Lindsey Graham”, that would be fun.
You are all thinking of, “Hair Club for Men”
Trump wouldn’t pay them tribute money and so they do GOPe dirty work
Extortion? What is needed to prove it?
Even RCP doesnt include it it is so flatulant.
I bet those RCP Libs were twitching to do it until they saw who commissioned the push poll. LoL.
Correct, because RCP did include the odd IBD poll in the national average, and it sticks out like a sore thumb
Club for Growth? What’s that? Collectivists clubbing individuals building a business, employing people and responsibly growing that business?
DEFUND socialist collectives, foreign and domestic.
Club for Chinese Growth.
I’m also disturbed by his wife’s work with GWB and the CFR - which seeks to do away with all borders - and have a NAU, and one common currency.
CFPG Club for Penis Growth.
Hmmm...I thought it was, Club for Hair Growth?
They have proof, the crowds waiting to get into his sold out arenas are much smaller. Please send them another million to make them even smaller.
Pray America wakes
Yes, a lot of people on FR seem to be blind to Cruz. He is George Bush III as far as I’m concerned. He worked in the Bush WH, his wife is a partner at Goldman Sachs. He’s for 500% increase in H1-B.
Trump is much more consistent in speaking up for the American worker. Cruz is on the cheap labor express. But many aren’t willing to realize it yet. He’s no different than Rubio and Huckster. Both use religious language to mask the fact that they only care about themselves and their paymasters.
