So why don't I like Donald Trump?
The Briefing Room ^ | October 4, 2015 | andy58-in-nh/Andrew Kone

I'm a Tea Partier. I detest Obama and the Progressive hoard that has Washington, DC and large portions of America in a death grip. So why don't I like Donald Trump?

Honestly, sometimes I wonder what the hell is wrong with me these days. Why can't I get on the bandwagon along with so many others with whom I agree about most everything? ...

So what's the problem with Trump? In a nutshell: judgment, or rather a deficit of it, which in turn ought to make reasonable people otherwise inclined to agree with him to perhaps, think a bit harder about the consequences of their support for him in a precarious and dangerous world ...

You Trump haters hate more on Trump more than you hate on those
actually responsible for the mess this country is in.
Bonehead, McConnell deserve your hate.
Unlike Trump, they actually have the POWER to make a
difference NOW.

Why am I a child? I’m trying to get you to see that your assertion doesn’t hold water.

The reason you should read George Will is you will see a premier member of the MSM in absolute apoplexy regarding Donald Trump.

If Donald Trump is a creation of the media (your assertion, based on zero facts in evidence, just a repeated assertion without any backing just the same way the MSM operates, by the way) then:

Either George Will is not in on the secret or there is no secret to be in on.

Let me ask you this question:

Are you even AWARE of the fact that the MSM has pretty regularly predicted the imminent collapse of the Trump campaign?

If you aren’t aware of that, then your assertion that the MSM has CREATED the Trump campaign is worse than factless, it’s demented.

So what are you, simply without facts or truly demented?

(Just curious)

He’s a Democrat.

That should be enough for conservatives to exclude him.

Nice try but aside from perhaps Ted Cruz, Trump is the most conservative candidate in the race.

Cruz, but he cannot win the general election. We are out of time to pussyfoot around.

Hate to say it, but his demeanor is a big turnoff to many people.

Not my fault or his. Just the way it is.

Did he not work for his father?

Did he not build his own business?

His father died when he was older—what did Trump do for money in the meantime?

Was his father a wealthy blowhard also? His father had an excellent reputation as a builder and businessman. Did Trump not also have the same with the Real estate and construction trades?

Did Trump buy and sell properties in college to make money?

Did Trump not fix the Wolman skating rink when NY could not do it?

Did Trump not build a ten billion business empire, or was it handed to him?

Did not Trump single handedly change the entire Presidential race by bringing illegal immigration to the fore as an issue?

You sound like a real nothing, especially when you continually insult other Freepers and accuse them of being drunk.

Maybe you need to look in the mirror.

Please save your emotionalism.

Trump has been a Real estate shyster for most of his adult life. That is why he is aligned with the libs.

LOL, yeah, despite the fact that in July Trump told “Morning Joe” that a lot of his views are those of a Democrat.

Keep on believing.

Can you name another Dem who wants to close the border, deport foreign invaders, reduce taxes, scuttle Obama’s disastrous trade deals, rebuild the military, and assure—FINALLY—that vets get the care and treatment they deserve?

Well, he said he was one.

Other than that, we have his liberal past, and a bunch of talk.

And roughly half of that talk consists of slip-ups where he reveals a liberal stance and then has to backpedal the next day after his advisors get hold of him.

You have no idea of what you are talking about.

I have been in construction and real estate and I know what it takes to build an office building, and I have built them and renovated them around the country.

I know what it takes to deal with construction unions, planning boards and city officials.

For Trump to so wildly succeed in that environment means he is a fair person who is respected.

If that were not true, the people who he screwed would be coming out of the woodwork.

What is liberal about his immigration policy? About building a wall?

About his support for the Second Amendment?

About his tax plan?

Oh, yeah, that’s real liberal of him.

Take him out of the race and say hello to Jeb or Hillary as your new master.

Yeah, that’s a plan.

You just proved that your understanding is that of a child.

George Will is a GOPe prognosticator, not a part of the MSM.

Everything the MSM does or says about Trump is to promote him and keep him visible in prime time.

Fact is, Trump has put forth a more conservative platform than all the other pretenders. I assume Cruz will eventually come out with a more conservative platform but to date, Cruz has nothing specific on his website.

It's about time we had a true conservative as a front runner.

Lots of GOPe CLAIM to be “tea party” but they are not.

So now anyone claiming to be a member of the TEA party ,or as another poster claimed, a Conservative is a liar, and a member of GOPe?

Wow the warped, gymnastic thinking caused by the Trump worship is nauseating.

I hate to break this to everyone, but some of us are, and have always been PROUD to be a real CONSERVATIVE, and a member of the TEA Party, and we’re not afraid to shout it from the roof tops.

I find it amazing that Trump’s non-conservative record is causing so many to strike out at any dissent, including those of us that have been fighting this fight for years. For me it’s been since 1982, and 1984 when I got my first chance to vote for Reagan.
Nice of you all to throw us under the bus so quickly.
Trump couldn’t be doing any better if he openly called for Hillary to win. He is succeeding in throwing away many Republican voters every day. In case no one’s noticed he has approx. 30%. So along with the GOPe, who we still need to win the general, go ahead as alienate the base as well as there are many like me who will NEVER support him in the primary, but will grudgingly vote for him in the general. Keep calling us liars, and you’ll lose our support as well, and then he can try and get elected by Dems.

HMMM maybe that was the plan all along. What better way to wipe out the Republican party once and for all, than by splintering the base? What a novel idea. Sound like it could have come from Hillary?

His tax plan is leftist to its core.

It blocks the rise and acumulation of wealth through high taxation of investment income and upper disposable income.

It is exactly what we don’t need.

We need the Flat Tax.

Cruz will win the general election if the scammers fail to confuse voters in the primaries.

If we put up a conservative he will win.

We have only one conservative running.
