So why don't I like Donald Trump?
The Briefing Room ^ | October 4, 2015 | andy58-in-nh/Andrew Kone

I'm a Tea Partier. I detest Obama and the Progressive hoard that has Washington, DC and large portions of America in a death grip. So why don't I like Donald Trump?

Honestly, sometimes I wonder what the hell is wrong with me these days. Why can't I get on the bandwagon along with so many others with whom I agree about most everything? ...

So what's the problem with Trump? In a nutshell: judgment, or rather a deficit of it, which in turn ought to make reasonable people otherwise inclined to agree with him to perhaps, think a bit harder about the consequences of their support for him in a precarious and dangerous world ...

Nope, ain’t going to happen. Cruz will endorse Trump!

Trump over 30%. Cruz still down at 6%.

Go to realville, that is reality.

You are right about the jealousy factor. There are posters on this forum whose biggest issue with Trump is his wealth. When the words “class envy” come into the discussion, the opposition fades away.

“His daughter is a feminist who pals around with Chelsea Clinton and quotes Lena Dunham.”

Which daughter? The businesswoman or the bimbo? If Ivanka, that’s quite disturbing. He’s often said that Ivanka likes Caroline Kennedy and that bothered me a bit.

But we gave Reagan a pass when it comes to Ron The Ballerina and Patti The Dim Bulb. We must be fair, I guess.

I hear ya... it is just that I have just had enough of this TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP crap.

It’s “Hope and Change”, “Mmm Mmm, Mmm” rebranded just for fair weather “we’ll see how the polls go” conservatives.

Trump has been created by the MSM.

He doesn’t terrify them; he tickles the cockles of their hearts (if they even have one)

He wouldn’t even be seen nor heard of if they were not determined to confound conservative Republicans by boosting his absurd “candidacy.”

>> LBJ was a lot more than that. Devious, certainly; but a corrupt politician to the bone <<

Absolutely! Devious, slick, vulgar, corrupt, overweening, a womanizer, smart as a whip, you name it. Back in the days of my youth, I thought those were exactly the qualities we needed in a POTUS who was fighting the Vietnamese commies and their allies. Turns out I was wrong!

I wouldn’t support Sen. Cruz if he couldn’t win in the general election. Take a look at the moribund Democrat opposition. Three old Communist hags who frighten small children. Cruz is young, vital, intelligent and can obliterate them in a debate. Who would you bet on ?

No, its not about the liars, its about a saboteur that is being promoted as a Republican conservative by the MSM.

Every time we get a thread about this, by conservatives who just can’t “like” Trump, it always is the same reason.

They are measuring him against their dream list of a conservative Republican nominee and find him wanting. DUH.

They do not understand the situation. If they love filling out that voter form and feeling like it matters each time, if they love the yard signs and the rah rah rah blue vs red jerseys, then they are just looking for “the lesser of the evils wearing my team’s jersey.” This is NOT where we are in 2016. Some of us were onto this in 2011 and wouldn’t vote for Romney. (I wasn’t that smart)

But most of us are onto it finally, this election, and Trump’s candidacy has proven we are right: the country is run without benefit of the constitution by a wealthy worldly oligarchy owning both sides of the aisle. They allow us to fight at election time over the jersey color. We, the People, are out and we have been out. With Trump’s candidacy, we see legitimate panic among every entity connected to the oligarchy.

And Trump is wealthy enough to at least start the fight without bloodshed. He has the power we little serfs do not.

Therefore it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t understand the difference between Hamas and Hisbollah. None of his “qualifications” matter except that HE HAS THE MONEY TO NOT NEED THE MEDIA, HE HAS THE COJONES TO FIGHT THE MEDIA, AND HE WANTS TO DO THIS FOR US. No one else that wealthy has stepped to the plate.

I want my country back and this is the ONLY shot I see. Cruz cannot win without a huge boost and the VP would be his boost. I’m hoping he is chosen by Trump.

All of these “Trump isn’t good enough” essays and posts are really saying I DONT GET IT. I THINK WE STILL HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. They’re playing tiddlywinks. I want to see what Trump can do, because I’d prefer getting the country back bloodlessly. I don’t want my kids to have to die for it.
