“Sorry Doctor Carson, but this is just not working; NEXT!”
Last night’s debate showed that Doctor Carson will have to sit down because the Wile E. Coyotes at the Republican National Committee now have a new hound to try to hunt down Donald Trump. The GOPe is swooning over the fact that “Carly Fiorina held her own!”
Only in the Beltway could such an observation be made with a straight face.
In each of the polls available at this writing, at least 55% of respondents say Trump won and Fiorina is “right behind him” with about 16% of the votes.
So where is Doctor Ben Carson now? When many people, myself included, made fun of his Beltway supporters some of them were quick to use an NPR poll from New Hampshire saying “Carson has pulled even with Trump,” as proof their man was on the move. Of course the headline was written in Democrat-speak which holds that if their candidate is even at the edge of the Margin of Error, he is even; but that means little to the NRC. Carson is not “even” with Trump. He’s not even close to even and never was.

I thought he acted frankly like a horse’s rear last night. Going after Rand Paul on his looks? Now that’s calling the kettle black. And right off the bat suggesting Paul should not be on the stage? Most it was all about bravado instead of substance for Trump.
I thought his answers were too liberal. He didn’t even really have a plan for the border.

No. Carly will not get many of Carson’s supporters. Carson was a Trump “parking lot” for people not ready to go with Trump. Watch the polls. You’ll see Carson fall, maybe temporarily Rubio and Fiorina will gain some, Cruz will pick up 2-3%. But the overall gain here is . . . ta daaaa . . . Trump. He will see his lead grow because the #2 guy is gonna fall further behind.
Just like all the others running for office? I want someone who has proven success leading large enterprises, being a hard*ss when necessary, supports the military and our vets and is to a degree rabidly pro America. Love him or hate him Trump is one of the few that fit the bill. Carson's a smart nice guy but doesn't meet my requirements. Fiorina ? What part of successful at leading large enterprises does she have a history of, and as for not changing positions? Nope Trump isn't my first choice but he's far from my last, I want someone who is going to kick ass for America like Patton did, not someone who is more proud to be a mexican than an American like jebito.
A good campaign ad would be Trump playing the part of the Gunny, and some actor playing a GOPe type on the couch. A Rove look-alike would be appropriate.
That ad would go viral instantly. Even folks who don't know who Rove is would love it.

Trump isn't my favorite, but at least I think we can believe what he says, rather than wonder what's conveniently being left out.
And, Trump isn't the best bad choice, like McCain and Romney - he has some get-up-and-go, isn't part of the establishment, and actually some good ideas.

There are an awful lot of people here that believe that joke as gospel and spout it daily.
