And if it’s Trump, Jonah and I will stay home; so take that!

The leftist apologist wing of the GOPe has tried everything they can to “help” us “unwashed masses” see the light about how terrible Donald Trump is and so far nothing has worked. Nevertheless, these Beltway Wile E Coyotes won’t stop until they have their collective noses rubbed in a Trump victory.

The latest “enlightened” pronouncement, designed to help us lesser beings rid ourselves of support for Trump, has been penned by Robert Tracinski, a guy no one outside of the RNC headquarters in Washington has ever heard of.

Reading it developed into an eye exercise because as it droned on my gaze kept jumping to the dateline. I found myself asking, “When did this fool write this?” and again and again I was reassured that it was posted just last Friday September 11, 2015.

The fantasy this guy weaves is a case for him and his pal Jonah Goldberg running away from the political field or staying home when Trump is elected.

Why this would mean anything to anyone but Karl Rove is a mystery.

Mister Tracinski acknowledging that, “A lot of the support for Donald Trump is fueled by outrage against the Republican establishment,” then fails to say why this is so as if those of us (myself included) who have re-registered away from his Republican Party did so because we were tired of nothing more than its never-ending requests for money. Tracinski seems clueless to the fact that even if he can’t recognize the GOPe’s betrayal of conservatism, we can.

Not knowing how to deconstruct an argument he doesn’t like...

What we are seeing is the panic of the Frist/Hastert/De Lay Republican Party, that took it over after the Appaatchiks dethroned Newt Gingrich.

The saw the money machine the Dems had created, and that was growing exponentially under Clinton, and wanted a piece of the pie. What easier way to ensure your career than buy buying your office with taxpayer money?

They have attacked and sold out “real conservatives” and anyone with a spine, at every turn, and they and their benefactors, like Club-For-Growth, have made TONS of money, up into the tens of millions.

Still, this is chump change, compared to what the Dems have done, but they are more interested in maintaining the Status Quo, than engaging in any fight that could cost them money or power, if they lose it.

True, but they are Republicans. They only get one vote.

.@slone You brought up the idea of supporting Trump because it’s exciting/fun. Also, I think he puts stroking his ego 1st, last & only.

So the Presidential box is the only part of the ballot you was going to vote on... nothing else on the ballot?

Yeah... best to stay home and pout. Sounds like a winning strategy.

A Republican primary in which Trump is front-runner and Perry is first out is one that is not serious.

The following is proudly written in large letters on the home page of the RNC:

“We need to start growing America’s economy instead of Washington’s economy so that working Americans see better wages and more opportunity.”

One need go no further to see the problem with the GOP. When, in recent years, has the Republican legislature at the federal level done even one thing—name one thing—to stem the growth of the Washington economy.

They have expedited the growth. They are complicit in the growth.

If you say you stand for something, and you do not back it up with actions, then you stand for nothing!!

The Republican Party stands for absolutely nothing. That is the problem. Try to get it, GOPe. We know the party stands for nothing. The jig is up.

If the GOP Establishment stayed home on election day, would that really be a bad thing?

In Pennsylvania we can register D, R, I (not really independent but the Independent party), or misc. for miscellaneous.

I am misc, LOL!

At least that was the way it was last time I checked.

OK. If it’s Bush, Carson, Rubio, Christy, Fiorina, Graham, Santorum, Huckabee, or anyone else of that ilk I’m staying home.

Basically for me it’s Cruz, Trump, maybe Walker.

Suck it GOP. You’ve screwed the country too many times.

Ditto to that except I won't be staying home, I'll show up to vote third-party (or write in) Trump. Yeah, I know he signed the "pledge" and I look forward gleefully to the GOPe heads exploding when he breaks that pledge.

I'd love for Cruz to get the nomination (roughly 0% chance of that happening though) and be our next president for 8 years but you have to know the liberal Republican establishment would go Full Goldwater on him in the general election if not sooner. They'd want him to lose, and lose big, and they'd do whatever it takes to accomplish that.

I admire what Walker has done, and been able to survive, in a loony-left state like Wisconsin. But his supporters, especially those on this site, are some of the most fragile, brittle people I've ever seen. You dare question the perfection of Saint Walker and they go all to pieces and begin hurling the insults just like any liberal would.

Walker has no control over that sort of thing so he shouldn't be blamed, but it is off-putting.

Me too! I reside in a ‘vote-by-mail only’ state.

The best thing to do is to show up and vote on election day and vote for a candidate on the ballot. It will get counted that way. Don’t write in a name; they aren’t even counted. If you leave it blank, don’t vote, or use a mail-in vote, it opens up the possibility for fraudulent use.

How about this; you are not a conservative because conservatives can think and recognize when they have been lied to? I know that in the world you live in this is an original thought but it’s not in the one I live in.
Conservatives, my friend are people of action who want to learn from their mistakes. Fools who only amount to something in the Beltway can never understand that.

IF YOU LIVE IN A DEAD END STATE LIKE NEW YORK CHANGE YOUR REGISTRATION> FORGET ABOUT THE PRIMARY! THEY RIG THEM IN NEW YORK ANYWAY.
