Just watched last night's round table on Special Report.
Democrat A.B. Stoddard declares Walker's campaign dead.
George Will [paraphrasing] "Since I'm sleeping with the campaign I might as well give some inside information. Their polling shows that of those Republicans who showed up at the last caucus Walker is ahead of Trump, and for those Republicans who showed up at the last 2 caucuses, Walker is in the lead.
Charles Krauthammer agrees with Will. Walker's campaign is not over.

Wouldn’t disagree with you but that is not what the polls are measuring.

Partially, maybe. Voting in a caucus is quite different than voting in a primary. Will should NOT be providing this "inside information". Let the Walker people do it if they choose to. That said, I imagine that Trump's numbers (for Iowa) are a bit high (voters vs. caucus-goers). Even if we account for that, Carson or Cruz, not Walker stands to be the prime beneficiary. At the caucuses, there's no problem with discussing the vote and politicking in the room. Some may switch their vote from Walker to Carson or Cruz if there is momentum in that direction. If Walker is still a player, he might get some Jindal votes, but I don't see him picking off many others.

It looks like Carson and Cruz are picking up steam.
Carson will drop with more exposure, but Cruz will rise.
Things are going to get very interesting when the field gets down to 4 or 5.

So Walker is floundering so much he has to go back to the one thing he's known for, bashing unions. Sorry that's not reason enough to be president. If he was the only choice other than Bush? Maybe. But he isn't.
But wait! Maybe if we trot out a Fox News lackey who “leaks” that his wife told him the “internal polls” show he's leading in Iowa then maybe everyone will realize what a wonderful candidate he is.
Ask Rick Santorum how beneficial winning Iowa is.

Georgie Will pumping his wife’s candidate is pure slime. Apparently they make the checks out to George directly.

The key to Walker’s future is Iowa.
If he fails there, he might as well hang it up.
On the positive note, Walker is doing a fine job in WI and it might be wiser for him to continue in his work to move WI to a Red State.
It will take decades to undo the damage Madison has done to the State.

Internal polls are garbage. I put no stock into any of them. I’m a Walker supporter but if you were to ask me my gut feeling at this moment if the Iowa Caucuses were held today I say the top three are Trump, Cruz, and Carson. I don’t think Walker’s campaign has gained any traction and don’t know if it ever will. Just being honest.

CW, agree with you, but this is an anti-political wave we’re riding now. Anybody with an R by their name and holding political office is being blamed for the current mess. This is why Trump, Carson, and Fiorina are gaining traction with the voters.

Saw that. Brett and A.B. looked at Will like he had completely lost his marbles.
And what Krauthammer said was Walker is over, but would still hang around for a while.

The other candidates are promising us more of the same GOPE rollover crap.

Walker was the ‘lite’ version of Trump. Walker’s a good man but Trump’s better.
