A little change of pace from the news. I came across this the other day, and thought others might enjoy, and/or have an opinion they'd like to share.

Texas de Brazil in Orlando.
Looks like they got Texas’ best steak right....Pappas Bros. Steakhouse.
Once you’ve had a filet or their ribeye (and, I don’t even really like ribeyes)...nothing else will EVER compare.
Enjoying a meal at Pappas Bros Steakhouse is an exquisite experience....from start to finish.
Ever eaten at The Stateline in El Paso? They have great Brisket!!
J. Alexander’s is good, but it wouldn’t have been in my top five for Memphis, let alone all of Tennessee. My favorite in Tennessee is probably Folk’s Folly, but I also enjoy Jimmy Kelly’s in Nashville, Jim’s Place in Memphis, Buckleys in Memphis, Hennen’s in Chattanooga, Kayne Prime in Nashville.
And Char for Mississippi? Dunno about that either. I’d have said Doe’s Eat Place, Como Steak House over Char, or Giardina’s in Greenwood.
Anyone ever been to Ryan’s Restaurant (not that buffet place) in Winston-Salem, NC? I haven’t been there in years, but I used to love it.
What about Tadich??
Agreed. I am. Frequent TR diner. They are not a top steakhouse but they are the best for value and I chose them over the higher end chains. But if I get a shot at say Gibson’s in Chicago or Pine Club in Dayton or Char in Alabama or Blu in PA...bye bye TR!
Yep, best in Mississippi. Better than Char for sure.
It’s been years since I was back “home”, but Damon’s Steakhouse in Glendale, Kalifornia was always superb.
I about died at Doe’s. Took a week to digest all the steak Imconsumed.
Charlie’s is delicious. If you like meat, check out Boizao. It’s an Argentinian meat market-type restaurant. It’s on Boy Scout right across from the International Mall.
Also, head down to Ybor City and go to the Columbia restaurant on 7th Avenue. It’s been there over 100 years. Get yourself the 1905 Salad. It is the best salad I’ve ever had.
For night life, Ybor is “okay,” lots of bars but a lot of 20-somethings. The Channelside district is beautiful at night, but I haven’t been down there in a while. Not sure if the nightlife picked up any. If you do go down there, check out Qachbal’s chocolatier. They’ve got some amazing confections!
Not Char in Mississippi that was a typo.
Sorry, I don’t view slideshows.
Bones is over-rated, IMHO! It’s hard to beat Fogo de chao.
Their beef is good. Their rib-cut lamb chops are something!
Not when Texas Roadhouse and Outback make the cut.
I’m going out on a limb.....Steakhouse ‘55 in the Disneyland hotel. Aged beef, it’s own wine cellar, and sommeliers who made very good pairings with the meat. Well worth it.

The first time you go to St Elmo’s in Indy it’s for the steak. After that it’s so you can get the WORLD FAMOUS ST. ELMO SHRIMP COCKTAIL appetizer and the steak for dessert.
Michael’s Steak House, Worthington, MN
Back when I was at Ft. Huachuca 30 years ago, there was an excellent steakhouse north and west of the fort that was well known and did its steaks over mesquite. It was a really good place but I don’t remember the name. It may be long gone by now or still there? Perhaps Sandrat knows.
I believe Fogo de Chao made the list in one state.
Amen to that. Just had my 150 lb Brinkmann grill sandblasted clean and refinished. That thick steel holds and distributes heat better than any grill I've owned to date. I start my coals with paper in hand held chimney. No starter fluid: I don't like the taste of JP4 in my steaks and chicken. During the cooking process, I'll toss in a double handful of mesquite or applewood chips that I've soaked in water for about 15 minutes.
Aside from that, Wolf's Lodge is just aloud shout away from where I live in north Idaho. Superb.
