For the first time this year, Donald Trump tops a state poll of GOP presidential candidates in Florida.
A St. Pete Polls survey released on Wednesday shows the New York businessman with 26 percent support, with Jeb Bush in second place with 20 percent.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is in third place with 12 percent, and Marco Rubio is in fourth place with 10 percent. Hes followed by Dr. Ben Carson at 5 percent, Ted Cruz and John Kasich at 4 percent, and Rand Paul at 3 percent. 16 percent are unsure or are supporting another candidate not named in the survey.

Wouldn’t it be funny if The Donald took Florida. Dauphin Bush’s allies changed FL to a winner take all assuming he was a shoo in. It would be worth it for the schadenfreude of that tactic blowing up in the Dauphin’s face.
Thanks for that link! For a while I wasn’t sure if they were serious - but when it got to, “We are tired of the Media ... and all their Political Correctness”, I knew they were for real! “Trump is a shot-caller!” :D
I think this may be correct. Here is S Florida our conservative group of old folks are almost 100% behind Trump...Im the hold out. Plus I hear even registered RATS are for him!
closed and winner take all. Should there be a clear winner, by the polls, other than Bush, then all is well...but should Bush still be in the race Florida will need to vote for Rubio to get rid of Bush and keep the others in...Florida is a winner take all state and Bush has to be eliminated here.
~Excellent read on WHY TRUMP IS LEADING AND NEEDS TO BE ELECTED~
Read this just now and LOVE what it says about Trump. Thanks for posting it.
Great analysis of poll results! Thank you
Thanks and you’re welcome.
Down goes Jeb!
I’m a Ted Cruz supporter, organizer of the very successful “Ted Cruz Florida Grassroots Leadership Conference” in Orlando on July-18 ...
and I don’t see Trump hurting Ted Cruz ...
However, Trump will DESTROY Yebbie and Marco Rubio in Florida’s “winner take all” 98 delegate GOP primary ...
Mitt Romney spent $ 12 million defeating Newt in the 2012 Florida Primary ...
$ 12 million is chump change to Trump ...
I predict that Florida is UGLY for Yebbie Bush ...
.
It's his natural position.
Good analysis. I think you are spot on.
I have relatives in FL who are Democrats, and love Trump. So, yeah, I think this poll is for real and that he will carry the state.
Thank God for that bit of security. There are those retirees who were not so fortunate all around the country.
Thankfully, they vote.
Are you on social media, you savvy thing you! That is about the best news ever what you are hearing from Democrats interested in voting for Trump.
Can you tell much about where they are coming from in the country? The South mostly? Or, hopefully the NE!
This Trump thing is a phenomenon like I haven’t seen since Reagan, and I believe far more unusual.
I have no idea about the geographic location of the commenters I'm seeing. Most of the comments I've seen from crossover Dems have been at websites such as Daily Mail UK and LiveLeak, which allow comments on articles and videos.
Both of those sites are heavy with coverage about Trump and the rest of the Republican candidates. I'd estimate the comment threads average about 200 replies, with some going into the 1K+ range. Sorta gives you a sense of what people are thinking if you take time to read them.
Anywho, it's the first time I ever recall seeing so many crossover voters who are genuinely excited about a Republican candidate.
Thank you very much! I will take a peek too.
These polls seem contrived to me, since I know exactly ZERO actual Bush supporters.
So, I sent a message out to my fairly large network the other day, asking if anyone had knowledge of ANY actual Bush supporters.
Here in the first in the nation caucus state we were only able to track down THREE.
All three of which were elderly, moneyed, fairly high-level Republican Party establishment types.
