Coming To America: The Hoarding Begins: (Shortened)Collapse
SHTF Plan ^ | 6/30/15 | Mac Slavo

It was a seemingly normal Sunday — except it was anything but normal.

For many people in Athens, it was time to prepare for an approaching storm. A short walk from Plaka, a line of people waited to withdraw cash from an A.T.M., hours before the official announcement that banks would be closed starting on Monday. Some bank machines in central Athens had run out of money or were out of service, as screens blamed “technical difficulties.”

Elsewhere, some people had started hoarding gasoline and groceries. “We don’t know what the new day will bring,” said Katerina Vorreadi, who was among a group of retirees waiting in line outside the National Bank of Greece on Saturday night.

We’ve had 3 of them split at the seam and leak over the last 6 years.

I have avoided that by sealing them after treating with an overdose of Pri-G and then using a hair-fine drill bit...I'm talking 1/4 of a millimeter (I got mine from a jeweler who does repairs) make a small hole at the top of the handle portion. This will allow pressure equalization.

I have been able to store gasoline for up to 3 years and it runs fine in my cars. Use Summer gas only. less additives. Marine gas if you can get it...no alcohol.

Pri-G is better. It’s available at Amazon.

neat chart.

that explains it - I was in the Mojave desert, with 110 common. So the low humidity was necessary for the swamp coolers. they were cheap to run!

While not practical for the average guy, many ranchers have above or below ground gasoline tanks and have it delivered just like a gas station does.

Re: storing gasoline. Can you use those 75 gallon plastic water tanks with in the cage thingy? I already have a 14-gal red can with wheels and the pumper attachment. But those are pricey. The white 75 gal in cage is cheaper.
