My allegiance to this country is gone, and I used to be so highly patriotic. Its a very sad day. Let the chinese or russians have it, my allegiance is to God, I am done with trying to change this liberal godless cancer of a country.
Just so I know, what does it mean in your opinion?
Your explanation makes absolutely no sense in the context of the entire sentence Jesus is attributed to have spoken.
The full line is, “”Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.”
The part about the cheek is mirrored in the part about the coat.
Jesus is saying do not retaliate. He is saying to be better than the person doing you damage. If Christ meant some dominating resistance as you claim, he would not have followed with the line of giving your coat thief your shirt as well.
Let the ...chinese or russians have it,...”
So what. It is his opinion.
We can pass more laws. Yeah, that's the ticket.
This time, this time, they will follow the law, to the letter.
All we have to do is rewrite the constitution, make a few amendments, and they, the PTB will fall right in line.
NO? /s
none of that matters with respects to public schools.....
You and I both took an oath - once a long time ago.
Mine still means something.
Got no stomach for weak sisters.
So, saying let the Russians and Chinese have America is acceptable to you then?
No. Both that and this -
"My allegiance to this country is gone"
- are statements by the Original Poster.
I find them both noxious and offensive.
In fact, that snide humor I posted in the graphic was the kindest thing I could think of to say.
Now do you "Get it?"
They may as well curl up in the fetal position, sucking their thumbs, waiting for the boogie man to come.
This country has given a great life for these 53 years.
I'll never turn my back on her.
I suspect everything matters, particularly (1) credentials in critical need areas such as math or science, and (2) speaking well to get through the interview.
So, saying let the Russians and Chinese have America is acceptable to you then?

I never implied or said that and you know it. I simply said he had expressed an opinion. And I disagree with that opinion.
When the time comes, I’ll do my part and with relish.
I’m a member of Oath Keepers.
See my post 252.
Welcome home!
“A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have”, Thomas Jefferson.
The last few years I have shown up on the 4th of July saying “Happy DEPENDENCE Day”. Because that is what this nation has become. A nation of people dependent on the government.
Yeah, here is the deal. I would too like to hate my government and love my country. But who has been voting these commie bastards into power for the past 60 years? For a while you can blame the government. At some point you realize it is your fellow countrymen who are the problem. The liberals who vote in every commie, and the brain dead Republicans who support RINOs.
We are outnumbered and outmaneuvered. I have loved America and still do, but I hate the government and hate MOST of my countrymen. At what point do you just say the hell with it and say “I hate my country”. Becauase at some point it just becomes one in the same.
I realize this seems like blasphemy to a Patriot, but the way the nation is going, it is becoming very hateful because the politicians and the people are becoming unseparable.

That said, this is how I feel about the predators they have unleashed enmasse on the west. If you like elk, see some now while you have the chance.
I understand what you are saying, and why you feel this way. Very recent events from the social to political have truly felt like an avalanche falling on The United States. But most of us here have felt and sensed it coming for a long time. It’s very hard not to be completely dispirited. For instance, the last few 4th of July celebrations have been less and less enjoyable to me. I have ZERO interest in it this year. Not because I have any less admiration for what our founders endured and did, but to see it all seemingly forsaken and destroyed is hard to bear. But we, as people that used to love this country and those of us that still do, will have to dig very deep to persevere. We gotta do our best to support and shore up fellow patriots. There are still millions of us, and we are going to be attacked, demonized, made fun of, and probably a lot worse. We have to coalesce and remain strong in front of the adversity that is already here and yet to come. The world, from its beginnings, has never been easy. And it will never be so. We got to enjoy times better than MOST in ALL of history. Those days, unfortunately, are waning. This is reality. This is our cross to bear.
Actually, it does. Pitch coat and shirt. Cloak and tunic. At the time folks in a pinch could “pawn” their cloak. Pharisees would accept these “pawn loans” at a profit which is against Jewish law. So the first line is how to deal with Romans. The second, Pharisees.
