“The question isn’t one of his preferences or beliefs, and if you make it one, he will use ‘persecution’ for those preferences or beliefs as a defense.
No man runs away from an accident. And one cannot completely factor out the engineer being a homo. Fruitcake here could have been doing something...faggy before the incident.

Amtrak train in deadly wreck was speeding, but why?
Updated: May 14, 2015 9:12 AM CST
PHILADELPHIA (AP) The Amtrak train that crashed in Philadelphia, killing at least seven people, was hurtling at 106 mph before it ran off the rails along a sharp curve where the speed limit drops to just 50 mph, federal investigators said Wednesday.
The engineer applied the emergency brakes moments before the crash but slowed the train to only 102 mph by the time the locomotive’s black box stopped recording data, said Robert Sumwalt, of the National Transportation Safety Board. The speed limit just before the bend is 80 mph, he said.
The crash took place about 10 minutes after the train pulled out of Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station with 238 passengers and five crew members listed aboard. The locomotive and all seven passenger cars hurtled off the track as the train made a left turn, Sumwalt said.

Sure they do. How long ago was it that a cruise ship captain bailed on the passengers as the ship was sinking?
Now I wouldn't be in a rush to call them a paragon of virtue or manhood, but he sure wouldn't be the first to run away after a fatal crash. It happens pretty commonly with auto accidents: "Leaving the scene" and is often done to get time to get drugs/alcohol out of the operator's system before they can be found and tested, or to permit the operator to ditch incriminating substances or weapons.
Yep, cowardice may apply, too. The problem might have been just screwing off instead of screwing.
Determine whether the problem was mechanical or operator related, then delve into Why, if operator, related the problem existed.
If there is something about homosexual behaviour linked into that, it will come out.
But if the problem was mechanical or electronic, rather than operator error, everyone will hand the homosexuals a case of presumptive persecution to wail about and point to.
I, for one am not willing to give them either a propaganda victory or cause to rally the sympathy of those so inclined to give it over braying about him being a homosexual until it is shown that that is germane to the accident.
Do not fall into the political trap, here, the question is one of why the train was going that fast? and Why did it take so long for braking to be applied? All else is moot unless it is shown to be a contributing factor.
It didn’t take long for Obama’s federal union buddies to blame Management.
Amtrak union blames management for deadly crash
By Bill McMorrisPublished May 14, 2015Washington Free Beacon
The Amtrak derailment that killed seven is still under investigation, but the union representing railroad employees quickly tied the accident to a labor dispute.
The Teamsters-affiliated Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Lodge 3014 (BMWE) published a blog post on Tuesday attributing the deadly crash to new safety standards proposed by management of the government-partnered railroad.
The new One Amtrak Way, along with the new inexperienced Amtrak senior management (after the old experienced senior managers were fired) has lead to this massive derailment, the union said.
It's relevant to the extent that Amtrak may have put an unqualified person in charge of people's lives, either due to a desire to fulfill a "diversity" quote or because he was a politically-connected activist.
Earlier this year I visited a local railroad museum. One thing that struck me was that career progression among railroad people historically was that you worked many years as an engineer on freight trains before you were trusted to work a passenger train. This guy went directly from conductor to engineer.
Wouldn’t that be the “Poo Choo Train”?
So there really are polls that ask if you are a homosexual and how much money you make?
If the train was doing 106 in the turn and the brakes were not engaged until the last couple of seconds, and that was the result of "operator error", the issue of why the operator error occurred can be further investigated.
If the particular person was incompetent and hired only to fill a quota (whatever quota) then that needs to be brought out so the idea of hiring unqualified people to fill quotas (for whatever quota) needs to be attacked.
That might not have any bearing on the situation at all if the problem turns out to be a mechanical or electronic control or instrumentation issue.
How about we find out what happened first, and if his being a homo has anything to do with the accident, that will come out.
For those who just won't get it: Find out if this is relevant to the accident before attempting to make it an issue.
If his preferences have nothing to do with the accident, you will have just handed the homo lobby a sympathy card to play any time it comes up again, when it might be germane to the issue.
Just out of curiosity, why is an Amtrak locomotive capable of reaching speeds of 107 mph? And what is the highest train velocity legally allowed on Amtrak’s rails? Somehow, I’m thinking that locomotive has more performance than common sense would require...
Today it was reported that he had no recollection of the crash or what he was doing. How convenient. That is his best defense for being accused of anything.
It is relevant.
Yesterday I was watching Anderson Cooper on CNN talking to some official investigating the crash. They were going out of their way to be nice to the engineer. It was gross. They were saying things like we must not jump to conclusions and the engineer had been through a lot and he must be given several days to recuperate etc. It was obvious they were hiding something. Hopefully they will not give this guy a pass for being gay.
Today it was reported that the engineer had no idea what happened because he could not remember anything. How convenient. So any questions he is asked he is going to say that he just cannot remember. If it was learned that he was doing something else than his job, can he get a pass because he cannot remember therefore it was not his fault?
One thing he did remember. He remembered to shut his mouth and get a lawyer immediately. That he remembered.
This case is really highly suspicious.
Amtrak does not run freight trains so that path is not available.
So there really are polls that ask if you are a homosexual and how much money you make?
This is actually the comical part of the LGBT movement. It’s not about “equal pay”. It’s about being socially accepted. It is unique and utterly unconstitutional. i.e. the government cannot force us to accept anything. We have freedom of both association and disassociation in the first amendment.
The less media outcry there is about his 'gayness', the more the focus can be on the facts of the crash and on the actions of the engineer and the conductor.
That is my entire point.
This case is really highly suspicious.
Yes, it is. And I would hate to see the investigation compromised by being presented in the Media as some sort of homo hunt.
As for not remembering anything, that is not an uncommon situation after a wreck or other traumatic situation. For some of us, things happen in slow motion and we recall amazing detail, while other people just shut it out.
It could also be a convenient defense.
Finding out what happened should be foremost. If the preferences of the engineer contributed in any material way to the accident those become germane. Otherwise, it is irrelevant and may provide the guy with the sympathy out for being persecuted for something irrelevant to the wreck if people make an issue of it.
I doubt he'll need a "defense" for anything. The NTSB will find the primary cause of the accident to be lack of infrastructure investment.
Amtrak will give Brandon early retirement, with full pension and benefits. He'll also collect disability on top of that for being bullied in kindergarten. He may even get a big payout for the trauma he suffered as a result of the GOP's failure to fund the infrastructure.
The event isn't even in the top ten on Twitter... America has moved on. It's over and done with. He can now devote his full attention to things far more important... such as advancing the rights of Homo-trans-queer gender-bent oppressed people.
I’m just wondering how advantageous it is for him to have amnesia. They can make him testify but if he remembers nothing he really cannot incriminate himself. His defense lawyers do not have to deal with the issue of not making him testify because after all he does not remember anything.
Then there is the problem of the train going at twice the speed it should have been. Did the engineer radio back to some headquarters alerting everyone of this? That is a lot of speed difference. Going 100 mph in a car is quite significant if you have ever done that. On a train it is 1000 times more significant and this guy was doing what?
But, but, but he did remember to get his lawyer immediately and shut his mouth all n the middle of this chaos. Very convenient indeed!!! For that his memory was crystal clear.
It ain’t over ‘till its over. Let’s see what the NTSB says.
He'll wish it succeeded when he spends the rest of his miserable life in prison.
