Sure they do. How long ago was it that a cruise ship captain bailed on the passengers as the ship was sinking?
Now I wouldn't be in a rush to call them a paragon of virtue or manhood, but he sure wouldn't be the first to run away after a fatal crash. It happens pretty commonly with auto accidents: "Leaving the scene" and is often done to get time to get drugs/alcohol out of the operator's system before they can be found and tested, or to permit the operator to ditch incriminating substances or weapons.
Yep, cowardice may apply, too. The problem might have been just screwing off instead of screwing.
Determine whether the problem was mechanical or operator related, then delve into Why, if operator, related the problem existed.
If there is something about homosexual behaviour linked into that, it will come out.
But if the problem was mechanical or electronic, rather than operator error, everyone will hand the homosexuals a case of presumptive persecution to wail about and point to.
I, for one am not willing to give them either a propaganda victory or cause to rally the sympathy of those so inclined to give it over braying about him being a homosexual until it is shown that that is germane to the accident.
Do not fall into the political trap, here, the question is one of why the train was going that fast? and Why did it take so long for braking to be applied? All else is moot unless it is shown to be a contributing factor.
Fine example: Edward M.(Ted) Kennedy- (D-HELL)
