The City of Pearland, TX completely ignored its own code of ordinances in order to assess a fine against me over an animal I never owned. I proved my case in open court, but my evidence was ignored. I e-mailed Ted Cruz because he purports to be a champion of citizens' rights and principles. I asked for his help, but he couldn't even trouble himself to respond let alone offer any assistance. I guess he only supports individuals who can help fill his campaign coffers. Yessir, your tax dollars at work. Makes me proud to be a Texas conservative voter.
That made me laugh.
Thanks.
Yeah, the Bush Conservative Chronicles.
LOL!!
Please add me to the list of people that will not help you in this matter.
Thank you.
Good day.
Hillary likes pussies!
Oh...look!!! A Member here since...well...TODAY!
Need some cheese with that whine?
What the Hell is this crap!?
I hope they don’t ZOT him.
This is developing in to a nice Friday Fun Thread.
Suggest you contact Ed Thompson who is your local representative, he may well also be your local insurance agent and his wife is a retired public school teacher. State Senator in your area is Larry Taylor who also owns an insurance agency. So don’t expect your school taxes or wind insurance rates to decrease any time soon.
Pearland City Council has had a Democrat mayor forever - he has to be at least 80 by now. Pearland City Council is not only moving more to the left but they have never met a tax payer’s dollar that they didn’t want.
Yes, it is.
lol
we need a Friday Fun House logo
Welcome to FR.
Not the finest entrance I’ve seen. If Cruze won’t help you, you should escalate to POTUS.
As others have already mentioned, talk to a lawyer, and if he agrees that you have evidence, then file a lawsuit against the city. They cannot just walk around and issue random demands to random people, if that's what they have done in your case.
The reason for suing them is that the local government acts, presumably, according to laws. If they misuse a law and wrongly accuse you of something, it's the court's responsibility to figure out who violated what law.
A call to a representative will not even be a good solution here. Imagine that a congressman reads your email and calls the city official. The official says: "We fined Mr. Henry for unlicensed possession of a dog." The congressman replies: "But Mr. Henry told me he has no dog!" The official answers: "But our workers saw the dog and wrote it into the report." - At that point what can the congressman do? Nothing. To go further would require *investigation* of who is telling the truth here. That's what courts are for.
So far...every time, TED Cruz, elected against the wishes of the “establishment Rupublicraps-GOPe”...
has STOOD UP to fight for Constitutional issues...
After He severs 8 years as President and then 8 years as Vice President under Walker he will be appointed to serve a Long Natural Life term on the U.S. Supreme Court...by that time
...your “unowned animal fine” will have reached the U.S. Supreme Court...
I have confidence in TED Cruz.
Good Luck, may all your trails be downhill...
and may the wind be at your back.
And I will continue to pray to Jehovah God that our Nation repents of its individual and corporate sin and that God will Bless us with just leaders and brave citizens.
