Comedian and performance artist Adrienne Truscott plans to fight against what she sees as male-dominated culture by telling rape jokes and exposing her vagina onstage.
The act, called “Asking for It,” is performed by Truscott. According to her website, Truscott will be “dressed only from the waist up and ankles down,” and the show “undoes and does in the rules and rhetoric about rape, comedy and the awkward laughs in between.”
Her site continues, “With commentary from George Carlin, Louis C. K. and Robert De Niro, ducks, whistles and enough gin and tonics to get a girl in trouble, she lets her p***y do the talking. Set to pop music. Can you make jokes about rape? She plans to, all night long. Even if you tell her to stop.”
According to Truscott’s biography on her website, “Truscott has taught at Wesleyan University Dance Department as a visiting artist, and guest taught at Sarah Lawrence College’s Theater and Dance Departments and Yale Universtiy [sic].”
Truscott’s act is coming to Joe’s Pub in New York next month.

And to think that ones like Dinah Shore, Jane Russell, Ginger Rogers, Betty Grable, Bette Davis, and Gloria Swanson were Republicans and quite conservative in many instances concerning their politics. Sorry, could not help but think about something like that when something like this really takes me aback.
