Gov. Scott Walker has opened up a large lead in the battle for the 2016 Iowa GOP Caucuses, according to a new poll from Opinion Savvy. Walker holds a 15-point lead, more than doubling the support of his nearest competitor, Dr. Ben Carson:
2016 IOWA GOP CAUCUS POLL Opinion Savvy (3/24/15)
Scott Walker 29%
Ben Carson 14%
Jeb Bush 12%
Mike Huckabee 11%
Ted Cruz 7%
Rand Paul 5%
Marco Rubio 5%
Chris Christie 5%
Donald Trump 3%
No opinion/Other candidate: 9.7%
Walker now has a 7.6 point lead in our average of 2016 Iowa Caucus Polls.
Twelve percent is enough to nominate Jebbie; he’s not in it to win the election but to be nominated.
No disrespect to Dr. Carson, but the fact he is at 14% totally blows this poll all to hell as useless.
Will not vote for a Wisconsin governor, no matter his bona fides. For all the good electing a president will do, I’d just as soon stay home, but if I go to the polls, it’s Cruz or nobody.
Carson is a potential gun-grabber. Will not vote for him. If he’s it, I stay home.
I’m still with Ted Cruz!!
Anyone that puts the huckster and mr. actoflove over Conservatives is suspect in my opinion.
Not my first choice, though hardly a bad one. But honestly there are only two on that list that I could not in conscience vote for under any circumstances. Of course in the General Election my vote is meaningless because of where I live.
So Hillary will be a better choice than the courageous, accomplished governor?
Isn’t this a reflection of Walker’s wobbliness on Corn As Fuel?
I think Cruz is against the corn subsidy on conservative principle. Walker is not clear, giving the farmers hope he’ll back their IV supply of your tax money.
The poll was taken on March 20, before Cruz’ announcement. Registered voters not likely voters and with the Iowa caucuses so far away completely worthless
Carson has some specific GOP activist support in Iowa.
Reminder: Iowa is a caucus state, and the caucuses do not select committed delegates. They just have a non-binding presidential preference poll. Influence is gained by preparing ahead of time and getting to the county, district and state levels. Those who show up and vote in the straw poll accomplish nothing when they leave before all business is done.
Wait till they take a poll, if they do, taking in Ted’s Announcement and all the excitement it generated in the base.
Numbers are not going to look even remotely the same.
I thought as much. I never trust a Lib. Poll or numbers that are way out of line.
Go Ted Go!!!
“BOSTON (CBS) Theres about ten months to go before New Hampshires first in the nation presidential primary, but a new poll in the Republican race was released Thursday.
Former Florida governor Jeb Bush leads the Suffolk University poll of likely GOP Primary voters with 19-percent.
Read: Poll Results (.pdf)
Scott Walker was second with 14-percent and Rand Paul was third at 7-precent.
Donald Trump had 6-percent. Chris Christie and Ted Cruz were tied with just 5-percent.
The single-digit candidates need to go to New Hampshire and make a personal appeal to likely Republican voters there if they want to become the Republican alternative to Jeb Bush, David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center said in a statement.
There are still plenty of undecided voters who might be won over if they make their case.
Bush had a favorable rating of 54-percent compared to Walkers 46-percent.
As for unfavorable ratings, Walkers was 15-percent compared to Bushs 27-percent.....”

The fact that Jeb Bush is higher than Cruz boggles the mind. I can understand Walker, but Bush? He who has all the charisma of a dirty old shoe? This poll is too weird.
Really?! You actually believe that?!
Maybe you should get educated before you post and stop getting your news from liberal and RINO sources that despise Walker.
Walker’s vault to head of the pack happened immediately after Rush spoke highly of his accomplishments.
I wonder if Cruz’s numbers will rise now that Rush has spoken highly of him. Rush did seem to be more impressed with Walker, however.
While I revere Walker as my states governor, November 17, 2016 will tell me he made it. There is yet a long way to go and with Cruz jumping in, things could change rather quickly. No matter which of the two wins, at lease the dumbodummies will be packing their bags, at least I hope so.
I asked a question. You fired random unsupported shots. WTG.
