Pretty damn impressive...
- Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 - May 2008, Cruz was the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas, the youngest Solicitor General in the entire country, not to mention the longest tenure in Texas history.
- Partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he led the firms U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.
- Cruz has authored 80+ SCOTUS briefs and presented 40+ oral arguments before The Court
- Cruz served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Cruz was the first Hispanic ever to clerk for a Chief Justice of the United States
- Described as a 'superb' constitutional lawyer, the man's considerable skills and laser-like focus were on display for all when he took oily reptile Eric Holder by the neck and made him
answer the damn question.
- In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz assembled a coalition of 31 states in defense of the principle that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms.
- Cruz presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
- In addition to his victory in Heller, Cruz has successfully defended the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds, the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools and the majority of the 2003 Texas redistricting plan. Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt by the International Court of Justice to re-open the criminal convictions of 51 murderers on death row throughout the United States.
- Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission
- Domestic Policy Advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign.
- Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation
-
Ted Cruz is currently junior US Senator from Texas. In order to win the 2012 Republican nomination for the Senate seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison, Cruz had to defeat Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst -heavily favored/backed by the DC old-guard GOP- in the Republican primary runoff. In the event, TEA Party favorite Cruz crushed Dewhurst, 57-43%... he then beat Democrat Paul Sadler in the general election by a similar margin, 56-41. Cruz is also endorsed by the Tea Party Movement and the Republican Liberty Caucus.
- AWARDS: "America's Leading Lawyers for Business," Chambers USA (2009 & 2010) "50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America," National Law Journal (2008) "25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century," Texas Lawyer (2010) "20 Young Hispanic Americans on the Rise," Newsweek (1999) Traphagen Distinguished Alumnus, Harvard Law School
- On November 14, 2012, Cruz was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He is now spearheading efforts in the Senate to have root-and-branch...

Sadly, no.
The Supreme Court has ruled that There was no question that a person born in a state of the Union of citizen parents was a “natural born” citizen.
But it has never ruled that a person born wherever, of parentage whatever, was a “natural born” citizen.

The Democrat front hosts and the Republican front hosts of MSNBC and Fox News have nothing but fear of the other party and its personalities to spread around.
I support Cruz because we need someone to break the Uniparty mold in this country.
If Cruz doesn’t win, it will be more confirmation of the need for a new meaningful political party other than the Uniparty we currently have in this nation with two political machines ginning up emotional arguments about big differences when there are virtually no differences in reality.
The two big parties and their corporate crony policies like Obamacare, Common Core and Amnesty drive us down the same road.

Cruz comes closer to the natural born argument than Obama does.
If The Obamanation of Desolations’s step father legally adopted him or his mother became an Indonesian citizen then Obama IS NOT eligible. If his father was not a US citizen and his m other had not lived in the US for 4 years afters her 16th birthday (She didn’t)then the Obamanation of Desolation is NOT eligible.
I agree the language of the law can be problematic but there can be no doubt that Ted Cruz is culturally more American than Obama ever was or is.
Nominate him and let the demonrats complain about it. Then throw the Obamanation of Desolation in their face. If they disallow Cruz then they have to declare all of the legislation in both Obamanation of Desolation term’s null and void.
Elect Cruz then clarify the law.

Cruz is an impressive individual, with wall-to-wall conservative bona fides. The one thing missing is executive experience. A lot of people are going to have trouble with that, including me, but it is not a deal-breaker. The one thing that is REQUIRED for any President is good Christian character, and he has that in aces.

Eighth generation American, my great-great-great-great-great grandfather was born near the banks of the Hudson river in 1761. some people think national electoral politics require coming over on the Mayflower or being those who settled New Amsterdam. And God forbid if they are papists. Welcome to the 21st century.

I dont see community organizer on the list. What a great contrast those two resumes would be. Does anyone doubt any of the data on Cruz's resume and does anyone believe any of the fake stuff on BHOs?

Very impressive resume. Very.
For Attorney General.
He still only has two years in elected office.
he is still my second choice.
If he wins the nomination, I will proudly vote for him.

Meanwhile, one Hillary Clinton has an oily reputation--including a lot of extremely questionable practices at the former Rose Law Firm that still haven't been resolved.

Adjunct Professor means the part-timer hired to teach a course that the full-timers don’t want to teach. It is not a prestigious position. It may sound important, but it is not.
I like Ted, but Adjunct Professor doesn’t bolster hie resume.

I read some of his Educational accomplishments .....the guy truly is brilliant! The problem with liberals seeing that he is has nothing to do with his credential's...he likely surpasses them all...rather where he stands politically is extremely distasteful to them.....and they know that Old Hillary will have more than her hands full debating "the master of debating"
Cruz is a Princeton debate panelist ranked as one of the top debaters world wide
Watch Cruz slice and dice Holder on legalities of 'Constitutional Law' holder dodged time and again...

Adjunct is typically where all professors start their teaching career regardless of their capability. Thankfully Cruz quickly moved on from there to more important things.
Where the resume needs beef is with the Senate portion.

Great Ted Cruz line:
Pelosi: "Why are you against Obamacare?"
Cruz: "Because, unlike you, I actually read it."
To: samtheman
Cruz has been determined as being a top ranked debater in the world ........ Having great oratory abilities, rhetoric, and a knack for nuances are skills that you will find overlapping between debate and interrogation, which Cruz not only uses but excels at both....Obama lacks the ability to overlap them and why he cannot do more than use a knack of nuances....otherwise he must use a teleprompter...which Cruz doesn't need....
BTW...I've got some great photo shots of Cruz "actively participating and then some" in the Senate a n d otherwise I'll be putting up soon...

Pelosi: "Why are you against Obamacare?"
Cruz: "Because, unlike you, I actually read it." Responses like this are why I'm excited about Cruz running. He's got so much going for him as a candidate and even more as a president.
I would vote for Walker but a smile comes across my face whenever I see Cruz speak. He's the one I'm pinning my hopes on to restore America!

So the fact that I MIGHT be a “natural born citizen” somehow means that Ted Cruz IS a “natural born citizen”?
I guess so.
Who cares anyways...
