Supreme Court Will Likely Support Homosexual Marriage
Leo McNeil ^ | January 19, 2015 | Leo McNeil

The Supreme Court is going to once again review the issue of homosexual marriage. Last time around the Court punted on ruling whether states had the Constitutional right to outlaw such “marriages.” This time around they won’t be punting. Odds are by the end of June the Supreme Court will dictate to the country that sodomites have the legal right to marry. Our nation will finally have stooped to the point where we’re no better than Sodom and Gomorrah. Marriage was ordained by God in the Garden of Eden, it has lasted since that time as an institution involving one man and one woman. The progressive elites in this country want to toss aside God’s ordination and nature in order to allow sexual deviants to marry. Our Supreme Court will go right along with them.

There is nothing normal about homosexual relations. Deep down, the people calling themselves homosexuals know this. Men engaging in anal sex with one another know that what they’re engaging in isn’t natural and it isn’t normal. Those advocating for acceptance of that which is not normal or natural really don’t care about homosexuals in the least. Their only goal is overthrowing the historic Christian order in the west. They’ve been wildly successful at this. Even the 60’s hippies found homosexuals perverse and appalling. As recently as a decade ago the overwhelming majority of Americans opposed homosexual marriage. As our nation continues its moral decay, today a healthy majority support homosexual marriage. Among the young, the numbers are overwhelming. These are people who have spent their whole lives being told of the virtues of homosexuals in government schools and the media.

We Christian conservatives are rightly appalled at the notion that homosexual marriage is going to be the law of the land. We should hardly be surprised though. The religious right has for decades been fooling itself about the founding of this country and its Christian roots. Yes, up until a century ago the people of this nation generally followed Christian morality. However the Constitution from its creation abandoned God. We are the first western nation in history to create a government absent God. The Constitution’s first line declares that power to govern comes from the people rather than from God. There is a direct line from the abandonment of God in the Constitution to homosexual marriage today. The rank and file people of this country didn’t abandon God overnight but after two centuries of godless government, a godlessness that has been increasingly strident in the last 50-60 years, we’ve come to the point of complete abandonment.

Christians abandoned God when we tolerated a Constitution devoid of any mention of him, to say nothing of not covenanting with him. Since our nations founding one by one major institutions have turned from God. Harvard used to be a Christian seminary, now it pumps out pseudo-intellectual nonsense. Princeton was also once a great Christian seminary, today it hands out A’s to people like Michelle Obama who whined about being black in her senior thesis. The YMCA once was a Christian missionary organization, reaching out to the poor. Today it’s a gym with no connection whatsoever to the Christian faith. If we go back to the founding of this country, work on the Sabbath (Sunday) was outlawed and even if it wasn’t outlawed it was viewed as a desecration of the Lord’s Day. Today, even Christians defend going shopping, going to restaurants or working on Sunday. The abandonment of God by the people in this country has been gradual and it can be seen in much more than big issues like abortion and homosexual marriage.

Christians need to stop kidding themselves about what this nation is and what it represents. We need to stop pretending like this was always a great Christian nation, a shining city on a hill. In reality, our government abandoned God in the Constitution. The result of that has been a gradual shift from the Church and Godly morality to the cesspool of godlessness that we are faced with today. This is so even within Christian churches, many of whom have adopted progressive theology. (I’ll leave whether these are still Christian churches for another post) If we want this nation to return to the Christian faith we must obviously pray for a revival in this country. From there we must replace “we the people” with “Christ is King.” If we think it can’t get any worse than homosexual marriage, make no mistake the progressives will come up with something. Their end goals are very clear, they’re even out in the open about them. How they achieve those goals remains to be seen of course. For Christians, we need to look to scripture rather than the Constitution. We need to look to God’s word and how that word has been interpreted not by the recent church but by the historic church. It’s clear the recent church has shifted along with the nation, we must reject that and return to historic protestant and early church theology and doctrine. Until we in the church do that, we can expect the country to move further into a moral cesspool.

in florida, we passed a state constitutionally against it... and a single federal judge is trying to over thrown and ignore the will of people

I don't understand why people don't see this as an extremely bad thing.
It is, essentially, saying that the states are sovereign only inasmuch as their decisions agree with the federal government.

my feelings exactly.

just like a federal judge ‘correcting’ a vote whose outcome the fedgov didn’t like

how it’s legal in either case is beyond me. last i checked, the fedgov doesn’t have say over state matters

Three? I thought only the Chief Justice.
I read his cousin’s homosexual. Suppose his cousin molested him, or maybe the same family member?

It is extremely troubling how quick Federal judges are to overturn laws passed by states or otherwise get involved in matters they have no business getting involved in. Here in Michigan one Federal judge is dictating at what time boys and girls high school basketball games may be played to ensure “equality.” Never mind that no one pays to see girls play basketball.

Having said all that, if the issue of homosexual marriage was on the ballot today I suspect 2/3 of the states that previously banned it would allow it. This nation has fallen that much in just a decade. Even in the supposedly conservative south, by 2025 all of them will vote for homosexual marriage if the Supreme Court does nothing.

that’s the power of 24x7 marketing.

there’s a reason advertising costs so much... it’s effective, especially against the unsuspecting or weak minds.

yet another reason to encourage everyone you know to cut the cable and turn off the tv (they can still get by using netflix or a roku box and a radio for emergency info)

What if the SCOTUS rules him un-constitutional?

Right now the only religion protected under the 1st Amendment in the West appears to be Islam.
