Being a Cowboy fan, I am disappointed with the outcome. I am no fan of Cherry Jerry or Krispi Cream, might be why Dallas is so hated, and I can understand that.
But now I just want one of the remaining teams, to kick the you know what out of the Patriots. I was even pulling for the Ravens yesterday, anybody but the Patriots. The Cowboys have Jerry, but the Patriots have Belacheat!
“And lets not dismiss the fact that the only reason the Cowpokers were in the stadium is due to the blatant pass interference call that was overturned last week”.
Last week that ball was uncatchable. Should have been a no-call. You need to listen former quarterback and best analysis on TV, Trent Dilfer. And that is exactly what he said.
I came out of the season believing that Romo can win a Super Bowl. He just went up against the ONE quarterback that was better than him this season.
Cowboys desperately need to find themselves a pass rusher in the off-season. Just like after the 1991 season, when getting Charles Haley put them over the top.
>>I like the Packers and Cowboys and let me just say Dallas was robbed of a chance to maybe win the game. Dez Bryant made that catch. <<
That has been analyzed to death on this thread. By the current rule and the event itself it was an incomplete pass. The text of the rule is posted upthread (multiple times) for your learning convenience.
NFL sucks! Too many rules, too many commercials, too many pussy (pacifist) players, coaches, and referees. The old NFL teams, players, coaches, and referees; now that was a league I enjoyed watching. Not the circus that entertains us today between commercial breaks.
Give me the old Lombardi/Landry, Starr/Meredith, and Cowboys vs Packers team and fan rivalry of the old NFL. Sorry once you’ve seen the best, the NFL of today sucks in comparison!
If the NFL keeps slip sliding downhill, each team will need a lawyer and a team of forensic experts to review and arbitrate each penalty call before play can continue.
Looks like until the end of Football Season this will be the Sunday night at the Freepers thread. lol
I’ve got eyes. Catch was made. Throw last week was uncatchable.
Really makes no difference if who won. Seattle wins the Super Bowl again.
Good thing about today is we won’t have to listen to those Payton Manning commercials next year.
Go Ducks
>>Ive got eyes. Catch was made.<<
Use those eyes to read the rule. Incomplete. He didn’t maintain control and slapped the ball on the turf at the end.
By the new rule, that is not a catch.
>>Good thing about today is we wont have to listen to those Payton Manning commercials next year.<<
Sadly, no. He is bankable win or lose.
You better believe it.
You’re an idiot.
Small minds like you focus on who and what.....not why. Great minds deal in why. That’s why you and I are not communicating on this. You’re a little bureaucrat who thinks its totally fine to follow a dumbassinine rule to the letter.......meanwhile us adults are discussing why the nFL has such stupid rules.
Change your diaper.
I was just thinking how different things could have been had Dallas not lost that game to the Redskins....They would have had home field advantage.
Change your diaper. —
Now you have entered EPA controlled territory.
Huge Packer Fan.......you're right!!
You need to get a life.
You are a buffoon who is throwing a tantrum b/c you didn’t get your way. You can try to clothe it in some sort of nobility but the bottom line is you are riding your whaaambulance into the night in full view of everyone.
Do not post to me again, little boy.
>>Huge Packer Fan.......you’re right!! <<
*sigh*
The ground CAN cause an incompletion. This has been the rule for a few years now. You need to have control throughout the ENTIRE action — until the action ceases or the player makes a football move.
Payton Manning is a Christian and a Conservative. I hope he leaves the NFL since it’s just a front for abortion mills. He would make a fine motivational speaker as does Tim Tebow.
To hell with the new rules. You can’t get anywhere near a player without a flag being thrown. Let em play football without helmets.
Dallas also had the team to beat Seattle. Packers do not.
But the odds makers are gonna get exactly who they wanted in the Super Bowl. Seattle and the Patriots. And the braindead way home field is decided for the playoffs is crazy. Dallas and Seattle finished 12-4 and Dallas won the head to head. But Seattle gets home field throughout the playoffs. Absolutely crazy.
