If he tucked it in rather than showboating it would have been a completion. Couldn’t happen to a better person.
Go Ducks
Just playin' to the crowd with some home cookin'
That was a catch!
My big problem is that on 4th and 2, GET THE FIRST DOWN!!!! Why was he going for such a risky play there?
I said it was an incomplete when I saw the ball come out. It was pretty obvious he lost control on the ground.
I grew up on cowboys but packers are endearing
But God I detest showboating
In a way, I still won. I have been a Cowboy fan since the mid-70s so that is where my heart is, but I am also a big NC State fan (who beat Duke in BB today, by the way) and had the pleasure of watching Russell Wilson playing QB for the Wolfpack for three years. Since Dallas had beaten them earlier in the season, it would have been very hard for them to do it again next week. Now I can pull for the Seahawks with a clear conscience!
I’m not a fan of Dallas or Green Bay, and I was hoping to see Dallas lose, because screw Fat Christie.
I am a Saints fan, so pity me!
Anyway, regarding the call. In fast motion, it looked like a reception to me, and in slow motion it looked like a reception to me.
As he went down he had control of the ball in one hand against his forearm. The ball was stable as has his knee hit the ground.
Play over.
Then the ground contact knocked the ball up and he caught it again, but that doesn’t matter, because the play was over when his knee hit.
Bad call IMO.
WHAT IS A CATCH?
Observers too often are fooled by a receiver having two feet down or what seems like possession for an eternity. If the receiver falls after the catch, he must hold on to the ball after hitting the ground or it is an incompletion. The ground cant cause a fumble unless the runner is not down by contact, but the ground can definitely cause an incompletion, Pereira said. If the ground jars the ball loose, its not a catch.

Should have kicked the field goal, IMO.
Yep. My thoughts too.
How ‘bout them officials!
Exactly, going deep on 4th and 2 is stupid and Romo proved once again he is a choke artist.
GEEK ruling, and ruined the NFC playoffs.
Yes. Only officials that have themselves played at high level games AT THAT POSITION should be allowed to make an overturn.
(Notice the commentators are trying to bury and cover this as much as possible to protect the auto-truck insurance extortion sponsor racket)
Looked to me like he was keeping his knee off the ground, trying to stretch for a TD, and lost the ball.
If his knee hit first, then possession at about 2 yd.
AMEN! Poetic justice for last week’s ref picking up the yellow flag!!!
Eagles fan here. I despise the Girls. Nevertheless, Jerry the old man is my pervert hero. What a slime.
BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HISS HISSSSS BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next time we will bring our own referees! Cheaters!
Man, I would hate to live up there where it is so cold! YIKES
DID TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HE HE HE
GOOD ONE!
