Attorney General Holder announced today that the Department of Justice will take the position in litigation that the protection of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 extends to claims of discrimination based on an individual’s gender identity, including transgender status.

Attorney General Holder informed all Department of Justice component heads and United States Attorneys in a memo that the department will no longer assert that Title VII’s prohibition against discrimination based on sex excludes discrimination based on gender identity per se, including transgender discrimination, reversing a previous Department of Justice position. Title VII makes it unlawful for employers to discriminate in the employment of an individual “because of such individual’s…sex,” among other protected characteristics.
Nearly a year after the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage, another social movement is poised to challenge deeply held cultural beliefs.
“This important shift will ensure that the protections of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 are extended to those who suffer discrimination based on gender identity, including transgender status,” said Attorney General Holder. “This will help to foster fair and consistent treatment for all claimants. And it reaffirms the Justice Department’s commitment to protecting the civil rights of all Americans.”
The Attorney General’s memo is designed to foster consistent treatment of claimants throughout the government and reduce confusion. In addition to applying to the department’s civil obligations in defending federal interests, this memo clarifies the Civil Rights Division’s ability to file Title VII claims against state and local public employers on behalf of transgender individuals. The Department of Justice does not have authority to file suit against private employers.
And that is enough to demand to be treated as such -- which includes swinging a penis around freely in the girls' locker room in front of your under-age daughter.
Make no mistake: This is what Holder is pushing for being rammed down our throats.
The laws that apply to everybody concerning job discrimination, harassment and physical assault are more than sufficient. That is why we should be more than skeptical that singling out certain groups -- born into or chosen -- for being treated differently under the law.
All of this comports with Leftist Utopian ideology, which denies Nature and universal principles in favor of how they wish things to be -- and the mindset that mere belief makes things so.
It also comports with the Leftist desire to balkanize society into real or imagined groups, so people will be more invested in what the government can do for them -- and against others -- rather than universal freedom and equality under the law.
This is what Holder is pushing for being rammed down our throats.

Right after ‘gay marriage’ became the law in most states, the lefties shifted to ‘transgender’ as the next target in the moral decline. There was a TIME magazine cover that it was the ‘new civil rights issue’ - meaning it’s impossible for anyone to disagree with them.
Marquette, a Catholic college, just this past week suspended a professor for complaining an argument about ‘gay marriage’ wasn’t allowed. You can’t even debate the issue because to question the morality of today (which will be pushed further into immorality by tomorrow) is to commit non speech hate speech.
Eric Holder is exceeding his knowledge level and is now practicing medicine and declaring Transgenderism to be something real and not a diagnosable mental illness perhaps a delusional disorder.
Well, I can't say I've ever done major surgery before, but I wouldn't want to be the one to deprive our former AG of his civil rights, so come here, Eric! Hold muh beer and watch this!
