GWEN IFILL: (snip) "But also more important is watching what's happening behind it. There's a new civil rights movement which has sprung up. We've been looking back 50 years for the last couple of months, the 50-year signings of bills and laws. These young people on the streets, these young people who've created a social media movement around Michael Brown, they're not saying, "Pass a law." They're saying, "Enforce the current ones."
They're not saying, "We're going to wait for a single, singular leader to tell us which way to go." They're saying, "We're going to lead ourselves." And there is something which we can't miss in what feels different to me than Trayvon Martin, it feels different to me than Rodney King; these are all situations in which justice was questioned. But it feels to me like Americans, not just African Americans, are picking themselves up and saying-- the first pictures we saw out of Ferguson, the common response was, "Is that America?" And I think people are saying, "Let's address that. Let's address ourselves, not expect some person to figure it out."

What Americans saw in Ferguson is Thuggery and Lawlessness, it is not "a new civil rights movement".
If you (Gwen Ifill, as a journalist, HA!) don't seek the truth and don't call out your own profession to obscure the truth, you have no business sprouting 'insights' on new civil rights movement.
They hope that there is a new civil rights movement so they can create more victims. And blacks are now being eclipsed by Hispanics and the biggest minority group. Hence, something needs to be done to put blacks on top again—maybe not in numbers, but in influence.
Is she talking about the Immigration Law?
Anything you say Ms Awfull.
Fixed it.
So she is implying Obama is not a leader!
Well, it sounds like these protestors are becoming Tea Party members
they’re not saying, “Pass a law.” They’re saying, “Enforce the current ones.” Tea Party leaders have been saying this for years. Stop passing so many laws ands concentrate on the ones you already have and enforce them. A simple request.
They’re not saying, “We’re going to wait for a single, singular leader to tell us which way to go.” They’re saying, “We’re going to lead ourselves.”
And there you have the next volunteers for the Tea Party. Many are tired of waiting for a leader to come, now they want to lead themselves.
These kids don’t even know they are part of the Tea Party yet, but will very soon
You can only be your own worst enemy for so long before the consequences starting impacting your own group exponentially.
Rampant abortion, crime, lawlessness, fatherless homes, respect for society, disregard for education etc....
Perpetual victimhood will destroy this “community”.
Americans of any color or creed do not now have nor will they ever have ANY RIGHTS which permit them to behave unlawfully.
‘Civil Rights’ was never about ‘equality’. It always was about what blacks want as it is now.
The whole ‘equality’ thing is just how they sold it to whites...
Somehow, I don’t think MLK would approve of being able to assault someone without consequence as a civil right. Because that is basically what this crowd is demanding.
Oh wait. ...there's nothing left to loot & burn! ...Nevermind.
That's a two-way street, Gwen. Watch out what you wish for.
OK. Do current laws allow a cop to shoot someone who's attacking him?
Will? It has already been destroyed.
NO TRUTH
NO JUSTICE
