The photos of the Loretta Fuddy Cessna crash that Josh Lang provided to the media? They weren't of the same plane. The plane that crashed with Fuddy in it had a window between the door and the tail; Lang's photos don't. (I've got photos at my blog and in the first post I'll post them so you can compare the 2 planes)
Lang apparently had photos of a DIFFERENT plane ditching in the water and gave them to the media, claiming they were of this crash, and apparently the media didn't check out the genuineness of the photos...
Now why would Lang do that? Why would he post images of the area with no passengers or anything else in the water ANYWHERE, rather than taking photos of what was actually there and giving those to the media?
Where did you get the image with the finger showing?
Nice one. Fasten your seatbelts.
I don’t see a runway and airport.
Zoom.In.
Fred, where did you get that bottom photo? I’ve never seen that one before.
You might want to save the image then zoom in on that. This photobucket website it’s hosted at is a PITA.
Where are these images from? I ask because I have done more searches than anybody can know, and I have not found anything even vaguely resembling the detail in these, which is what I was looking for. How did you find these?
They are from this thread.
Let me back up, which images?
I put the image from post 636
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3126226/posts?page=636#636
into a pdf, downloaded from scribd
http://www.scribd.com/doc/209751574/Kalaupapa-Plane-and-Satellite
in the pdf you can zoom in quit a bit
If not from this thread, then bing.com
correction of typos
“downloadable from scribd”
“in the pdf you can zoom in quite a bit”
I was not speaking of you alone, footsoldier.

there’s no ‘bottom photo’ they are side by side. And I can’t remember where either of them came from. I think maybe the one with the finger on it came from an article that someone posted a link to yesterday on this thread.
I just get a page that seems like it’s addressed to you. And my laptop has no image viewer that I know of.
What search terms did you use? ‘Cause I’ve used about every term I can think of in all the search engines and have not been able to find images of the Kalaupapa airport and/or runway. At least not anything newer than about 1972.
When I’m able I’ll zoom in on the image and if the airport is there I guess I will have learned that sometimes raised surfaces don’t show up even from above. If it’s there, then that answers the question I couldn’t resolve in my mind and that’ll be good. I just have to be able to see it.
