Fred, where did you get that bottom photo? I’ve never seen that one before.

there’s no ‘bottom photo’ they are side by side. And I can’t remember where either of them came from. I think maybe the one with the finger on it came from an article that someone posted a link to yesterday on this thread.

I’m guessing this is the source of the one you mean, I still can’t work out what ‘the bottom photo’ is. (Unless you reply from your PINGS page, and not from within the thread.)

Isn’t it amazing, when I wrote several times that Josh had seen the aircraft in the water and then flew to the airport to look for help, and that by the time he returned, the aircraft would have been further submerged than when he first saw it, I received replies about times and distances and six minutes and heaven knows what else...

but now I find where it was that this information came from:

“”As we approached the object in the water, we quickly realized that it was an aircraft and flew down lower to look for people in the water. We verified the tail number of the aircraft and that there were nine people in the water,” the couple wrote in a statement provided to Hawaii News Now.

“Lang and Thomson say they contacted the Moloka’i tower and landed back at the airport to see if anyone was available to help, but say no one was around.

“We decided it best to get back in the plane and fly over the people in the water to try to give them some comfort that they were not alone and were going to be rescued. During this time we made many low passes over the crash site and people, and watched the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft slowly sinking,” the statement goes on to say.”

And that’s from the article that’s the source of the image you wanted to know where it came from. The link was posted earlier on this very same thread.
