You guys are so full of crap. What’s holding you back.Do it. You don’t have the guts.

Now is that any way to talk to your fellow patriots? I mean, we are your fellow patriots, aren't we?

Shouldn't my fellow patriot be wishing me and mine the best of luck, should we decide to take this huge step to preserve those things we all believe in?

Well?

China has bought numerous buildings/companies on the west coast and that has been going on for a number of years. I would wince when I read they bought “x” on the coast giving them water access.

Now, they are building communities in the middle and eastern part of the country. Just swell. Next, they could likely engineer the fall of the dollar.

The only way I can insulate myself from these disasters is to do my prepping thing so I have what I need in my house and garden to last a while no matter what happens outside my house in the rest of the country.

In such a case, you would be wealthier to have goods than dollars as no one can drink or eat or stay warm or cool and have a way to cook, with dollars (unless you burn them).

You’re so ignorant. You know nothing about me or my state

Bzzzzt! Wrong again. Lived there for a year and a half, and other family members lived there more recently. Plenty of FReepers let us know how things are up there. Texas accent = shabby treatment. And so on.

America has become something I don’t even recognize anymore...

Heck, Norman Rockwell wouldn't recognize it, either.

But Alexander Solzhenitsyn would.

Secession by state action is not valid

Secession is not a legal matter. It is a fact on the ground.

BTW, there is an interesting factory in Amarillo. No, they don't make potatoes. But they do make gadgets with a funny peanut shape ...

Texas, being the only state that was once a nation

Vermont (1777-1791), California (1846), and Hawai'i (kingdom overthrown 1893) were also once their own nations.

There comes a time when it is so bad, there is no other choice just as our forefathers of this nation had no choice but to disengage from England.

However, I'd rather see us take patriotic America with us and leave the Gorebot-voting States to their doom.

Or in the case of New York, counties. Lots of patriotic New Yorkers and gun owners upstate .... even accepting the Dim voters around Buffalo, the spongers in Albany, and the moonbats clustering in the City of Evil, Ithaca.

You’re disgusting.

People sometimes respond angrily when they're insulted. I'm only human.

That isn’t secession, that is insurrection.

good luck with that. It didn’t work out the last few times, but I am sure you are really really special.

RAther, the founders left because the government of England made war on the colonies.

Only after that did they declare their independence.

The Declaration of Independence was read to the men in Dorchester Heights as the British occupied Boston, after the British attempted to starve the people of Boston into paying for destroyed tea, thus compensating the East India Tea Company for the taxes they paid in England for the right to trade with the Colonies.

If you have enough support to carry off an insurrection, you should have enough to win a few national elections and change the government to reduce deficit spending.

If you don’t have enough support to cut the government, you sure are not going to overthrow it.

Texas was a failed state, rescued by the US before. I suppose it could be a failed state again.

That isn’t secession, that is insurrection.

Fact on the ground, as I said.

It didn’t work out the last few times, but I am sure you are really really special.

It's only been tried once, as far as I know. And that didn't work so well, the secessionists being in the wrong.

Of course, if the modern secessionists are right, then the US might have to go the way of the USSR. If the US cannot remain a free country, then that's exactly the route it should take. And the seceding states should take maximum advantage of whatever assets happen to fall into their hands!

Face it. The United States is not useful unless it the freest country in the world!!

That is funny. You don’t like a SCOTUS decision, so you declare them to not be seated? To blazes with over 200 years of constitution and representative government you throw it all away because you are just so so special?

I didn’t think they made a bus that short.

It was tried in Western Pennsylvania. Governor Light horse harry Lee put the insurrection down, upon the orders of Pres. Washington.

Indians tried to take over Alcatraz. Fedgov let them rot on it.

Jackson had the right answer. head for the state capital and hang the people that come to argue on the way.
