Did LBJ have JFK killed? This critical question has endured ever since that fateful day of 50 years agoNov. 22, 1963. Former Nixon White House advisor Roger Stone makes this central argument in his new book, The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ. Stones interesting narrative isnt another conspiracy theory book to add to the already voluminous number of fantastical JFK assassination claims. Roger tells Reason Magazine Editor, Nick Gillespie that, The whole term conspiracy theorists is a pejorative that the mainstream media uses to denigrate anyone who questions the governments version on virtually anything Im not talking conspiracy, Im talking facts.
In an interview with Abby Martin who asks Stone, Whats the strongest piece of evidence is that implicates LBJ in Kennedys murder? Stone replies, Probably the finger print of LBJs personal hit man named, Malcom Mac Wallace that is found on a cardboard box on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. Its the only print other than the prints of Lee Harvey Oswald that I believe were planted there so that is probably your strongest piece of evidence. Secondarily, Johnsons mistress of 21 years, Madeleine Duncan Brown, who bore him an illegitimate child said that Lyndon Johnson told her on the eve of the assassination, After tomorrow those goddn Kennedys will never embarrass me again-thats not a threat-thats a promise. And then lastly I think when the presidential motorcade pulled into Dealey Plaza in Dallas when Vice President Johnsons car made the 120 degree turn on Elm St. into Dealey Plaza Lyndon Johnson, before the first shot was fired, was on the floor of his car; he hits the deck. Theres photographic evidence that proves this. So I would say that before, during and after the assassination Lyndon Johnsons actions betray the fact that he is in fact the man yoking the conspiracy, or in this case the plot that includes the CIA, organized crime and Big Texas Oil, Stone contends.
When asked about how his book is different from all of the other books claiming various JFK assassination conspiracy theories? Stone answers recounted his professional relationship over many years as a trusted advisor to President Richard Nixon who confessed to Stone that the Warren Commission was the greatest hoax ever perpetrated. Stone again: Nixon never flatly said who was responsible for Kennedys death, but he would say both he and Johnson wanted to be president; the only difference, Nixon said was he refused to kill for the job.
Stone admits to additional firsthand confirmations that indeed LBJ killed JFK from such colorful characters as: Amb. John Davis Lodge, who was the brother of Henry Cabot Lodge, JFKs Ambassador to Vietnam, Attorney General John Mitchell, Tony Salerno head of the Genovese crime family in New York, New Orleans mob boss Carlos Marcello all plotted together with the CIA and LBJ to assassinate JFK.
Stone in his book on LBJ chronicles voluminous amounts of damning evidence that points to LBJ as behind the JFK assassination including Dallas being LBJs territory, the Dallas Police Department and the Dallas media under his control, LBJs close friend (D.H. Byrd) owned the book Texas book depository building, LBJs personal assassin on many other hits (Malcolm Wallace) was seen that day on the sixth floor of the book depository building while 75-90 seconds after the assassination Oswald was seen by several eyewitnesses including two secretaries, the building superintendent and a Dallas police officer who questioned him personally as being not on the sixth floor, but sitting alone on the second floor cafeteria drinking a coke apparently oblivious to that JFKs assassination had just occurred less than 2 minutes ago.
Stone further argues that the insistence of Texas Governor John Connally that LBJs cronies dictated the route of the presidential motorcade instead of JFKs advance team. This conflict caused a huge argument between JFK and LBJ as witnessed by Jackie Kennedy because JFK insisted on having Gov. John Connally, a loyal LBJ crony, to ride in his limousine while LBJ wanted his political foe Senator Ralph Yarborough to ride with JFK (thereby killing two birds with one stone).
The trap was completely set when the presidential motorcade route was published in all the Dallas newspapers. As history dictated, JFK convinced LBJ to allow John Connally to ride in his limo whereby Connally was shot along with JFK, although he survived. Yarborough, riding with a frustrated LBJ, was never harmed.
There is no physical evidence of Oswald being on the sixth floor of the Texas book depository building that day. The palm print found on the murder weapon was taken from Oswald and planted on the rifle by the FBI while Oswald body lay in the morgue after he was killed by Jack Ruby. The Dallas coroner recalled after the FBI left finding black fingerprint ink on the hands Oswalds corpse which obviously wasnt there before the FBI arrived.
Immediately after the assassination of JFK. LBJ spread the knowingly false story that the Russian government had killed Kennedy. He told Earl Warren the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court who was reluctant to chair the Warren Commission, according to Stone. He was only persuaded because Johnson convinced him that the Russians had killed Kennedy and if the truth got out then it would precipitate World War III. This was a lie that Johnson told over and over. Theres no truth to it. We now know that when Kennedy was killed Soviet Premiere Nikita Khrushchev wept. Also, Fidel Castro who was with an American when he got the news, kept repeating Oh-No! and This is very bad news. I do not think that the Russian state was in anyway involved in any way in the assassination. I think Johnson lied about this, says Stone.
Finally Stone argues Landslide Lyndon ascension in politics where his infamous 1948 election launching his career as a Senator was only achieved through naked fraud whereby LBJ won by only 87 votesall in alphabetical order, in the same handwriting and they all signed in the same ink (Box 13). Through a magnificent presentation of original sources Stone ties LBJ to eight [8] murders prior to the JFK assassination not including his own sister whom Stones contends he may have killed who is buried without an autopsy. LBJs sister, Josefa Johnson, was murdered Christmas Day 1961 after leaving a party hosted by LBJ. She was probably killed because revealed secrets to her lovers golf pro John Kisner and Mac Wallace (LBJs favorite assassin who). Wallace claimed heat of passion defense because Kisner was sleeping with Wallaces wife and with LBJs defense lawyer (John Cofer) representing him, got a 5 year suspended sentence for killing Kisner on Oct. 22, 1961.
I think hes an amoral psychopath, says Roger Stone of LBJ. I think hes crude, evil, vicious, vindictive, [a] drunk. I think that Lyndon Johnson had unique motive, means and opportunity to kill John Kennedy and I think that he participated in a plot to do so.
How did this happen? Who is responsible? and the most important question: Who had the most to gain? Doubtlessly the answer to all three questions points directly to Vice President Lyndon Johnson who had motive, means and opportunity to kill JFK:
LBJ had motive (personal, political, economic). He had political motive because of LBJs legendary hatred of JFK, RFK and the Kennedy family which extended back to 1937 when LBJ was a freshman Texas congressman and fanatical acolyte of FDR and his New Deal revolution. JFK and RFK didnt want LBJ on the first ticket (they wanted Missouri Sen. Stuart Symington) and was working to get LBJ kicked off the 1964 ticket. LBJ knew this and so he had to act fast; LBJ had means (LBJ used Texas Gov. John Connally to entice JFK to their Texas territory along with his strong connections with the Dallas Police, Dallas news media, and Big Texas Oil); LBJ had opportunity (LBJ controlled all aspects of the JFK assassination, before during and afterwards) the CIA hated Kennedy over the Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missile Crisis, FBI head, J. Edgar Hoover also hated the Kennedys and used his vast forces to cover up the JFK murder.
With JFK out of the way LBJ would become president of the United States a coveted position that those who knew LBJ realized he always desired so much that he would kill to obtain the presidency by any means necessary.
Was LBJ thinking of the JFK assassination when he made this cryptic admission? It is the melancholy law of human societies to be compelled sometimes to choose a great evil in order to ward off a greater evil, or his interview with Walter Cronkite when LBJ says, Oswald, and he pauses, realizing that he did not want to speak that name publicly to Cronkite and closes his eyes in despair, before continuing to the ultimate incriminating statement, others that could have been involved.
Apparently, not even LBJ believes the findings of his servile, phony, handpicked Warren Commission that Oswald acted alone. Again, it was impossible for Oswald to kill the president when at the time of the shots were fired (12:30 pm) Oswald was on the second (not the sixth) floor cafeteria of the Texas book depository, drinking a coke alone and totally oblivious to the fact JFK had just been assassinated two minutes before. LBJ, the FBI, the CIA and the Warren Commission knew this which is why they all had to lie and claim that Oswald was the lone assassin at all costs lest on this day, 50 years later, the light of truth be shone on the real murder of John F. Kennedy
none other than Lyndon Baines Johnson!
IIRC, 7% thought his assassination was to cover up proof of aliens on earth. Oy.
That being said, dad was a yellow dog democrat and still voted for LBJ over a republican.
Yep. The House Committee on Assassinations got it right, Kennedy's fatal shots were from the rear and the front at nearly the same time.
Roger Stones publicity mail-out has this (from Amazon) via Robert Morrow (”expert”)
“By late November, 1963, the Kennedys were within days of politically executing and personally destroying Lyndon Johnson via a two track program: 1) a devastating RFK-fed LIFE Magazine expose of LBJ’s astounding corruption and 2) an RFK-nurtured Senate Rules Committee investigation into LBJ’s habit of taking large bribes and kickbacks.”
I have no idea if this is so, at least the Time Life part should be something that could be corraborated.
There were a lot of unexplained deaths in the decade after the assassination and people close to the scene clammed up. We are now in the time period where would-be witnesses are no longer afraid and may want to tell what they know.
My prediction is there are more shocking revelations to come.
A Few Questions that Beg for Answers
Why did RFK ask LBJ: Why did you have my brother killed? Was he off his rocker? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tclZrJiJSL0
Why were fingerprints of Mac Wallace, a known assassin who worked for LBJ and Ed Clark, found in the snipers nest on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository?
http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/JFKwallaceM.htm
Why did LBJ exclaim to his mistress Madeleine Duncan Brown after a meeting at Dallas house of Clint Murchison, attended by J. Edgar Hoover, Nixon, Mafia kingpins, and CIA allies of LBJ) on the eve of the assassination: After tomorrow, those goddamn Kennedys will never embarrass me again. Thats no threat. Thats a promise? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79lOKs0Kr_Y
Who desperately wanted to be president and thought JFK had stolen the Democratic nomination from him? Who was going to be dropped from the JFK ticket in 1964 because of financial scandals? Who invited JFK to Dallas? Who changed the presidents route to pass by the Book Depository? Who moved to secure the limousine and JFKs body immediately after the assassination? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSXQYvm57YM
Who set up the Warren Commission and demanded Oswald be found to be the sole gunman? Who controlled the police in Dallas and the FBI and CIA in Washington? The answer: Lyndon Baines Johnson. LBJ had the motive, the means, the opportunity, the history of eliminating his opponents, and the quotations that point to his arrangement and approval of the JFK assassination and vigorous cover-up. LBJ was the clear winner.

That LBJ was responsible does not deny CIA/FBI/Secret Service and Mafia involvement but strengthens the case against him as he provided the leadership and federal resources to coordinate the assassination, select a patsy (in the CIAs False Defector Program), and dominate the news media, such that to this day most news outlets are afraid to challenge the Warren Commissions official story. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjU2LtVGxN0
Why do the majority of Texans and a majority of Europeans believe LBJ was behind the murder of JFK? Why do we have such difficulty in accepting the fact that a coup detat happened on our watch, given that we elected (and re-elected) a Muslim Marxist with no substantive experience, no discernible achievements, and a profound hatred of things American, i.e., our Constitution and our values, as our most recent president?

No doubt but that conspiracy theories advance when key questions go unanswered and the evidence contradicts physics and forensics. The reason: there are no good answers that would be satisfactory to the media, which is afraid to even raise the possibility of LBJs involvement. New books out by Bill OReilly and Vincent Bugliosi duck the tough questions, and unlike a good murder mystery, we dont have time to pay attention to all those important details that are available or to reason logically to a correct solution.

The crime may never be solved in a way most Americans will agree, especially if the documents still withheld dont get released in the latter part of this century, as promised. Accepting that LBJ was a ringleader-killer would then cause us to admit that our great political system, the widely acclaimed democratic experiment with all its checks and balances, didnt work, that we might be less pure than we thought we were. The Giant has gone back to sleep.
But for the United States Air Force, a lot of people wouldn’t have lasted a week in the boonies. Just sayin’.
I always thought the Federal Reserve had Kennedy snuffed, and used LBJ as the vehicle to getterdun
Oswald did it, maybe Johnson had something to do with it. It was all leftists. I no longer care. Someone, somewhere, knows the truth, but we will never know the truth.
Fact is, if this was a right wing thing, we would be hearing it 24/7 for 50 years. That is how you separate the wheat from the chaff, or truth from lies.
But for the United States Air Force, a lot of people wouldnt have lasted a week in the boonies. Just sayin.
That’s for sure. Includes one of my brothers. I’ve thanked Air Force guys many times for saving our butts. Of course, Army pilots are included.
EVERYBODY is being given a squirrel show. The 40th anniversary didn’t get any NEAR this attention, even in Texas.
And the 40th anniversary of Ayers’ bombing of the pentagon in 1972 was COMPLETELY ignored even by the “down wif the struggles” bloggers.
You are right. I saw one news story where they played a sound recording of the shooting, overlayed on top the Zapruder film. It destroyed the single official theory.
Is that what she said? My thoughts were that either she panicked when she saw his head blow apart and wanted out of the limo, or she was trying to get to the ss agent to let him know what happened. Unless Mrs. Kennedy said why she was trying to climb on the back of the limo, everything else is conjecture.
yes, she is actually seen picking them up off the back of the trunk in the film
I’ll have to look at that film again.
The older Bush....may have knowledge of it. According to Stone.........
Interestingly.....Stone makes a pretty good case.
