Sen. John McCain’s daughter says her dad is “depressed” and “frustrated” with the tea party faction of the Republican Party, which she called “the hyper-conservative wing.”
A state of mind many in the tea party can relate to in their radical pursuit of a more fiscally responsible, limited federal government.
“We’re both frustrated with the idea that only the hyper-conservative wing of the party is going to represent the masses,” Meghan McCain said during an interview with ABC and Yahoo News.
Ms. McCain, who has her own reality show “Raising McCain,” said the last time her father was so depressed about the state of politics was after his failed 2008 presidential bid, according to the Washington Times.
“He is so depressed. He is so downtrodden,” Ms. McCain said. “The way he’s talking about it, how he’s never seen it this bad in his 30-plus years in office.”
An indication that McCain grew accustomed to a more apathetic constituency willing to place blind trust in progressive politicians on both sides of the aisle who have steered this country to the precipice of financial ruin.
As for her 77-year-old father running for reelection in 2016, something McCain recently said he is considering, his daughter said she has reservations about it.
“My father has more energy than I do,” Ms. McCain said. “So it is not his age, it is just the idea of having another dirty tea party election.”
After all, one can only take so much of accountability.
Mr. Depressed and frustrated should resign NOW and let Guv Brewer appoint a replacement.

I am a free man. An individual. Not a member of “the masses” as old carl marx called us. The reason your father is so upset is that he believes he knows what is best for every one. He believes that free men like me are interfering with or indeed preventing him and others like him from imposing his vision, his will upon us. He believes he is entitled to impose his will for our betterment of course. As a free man I believe it is not his right to do so. If he wants me to follow his way then it is incumbent upon him to persuade me with arguments and reason. It is MY choice to follow or not. With out any coercion. The lies, deceit, crass manipulation, arrogance, theft, and the sense of entitlement to rule over us the political class possess is why we rise against them. I do not consent to them ruling over me. Their laws, motives, and methods are completely illegitimate. For liberty, freedom, and individuality we rise! We will cast the would be tyrants from power and establish the safeguards necessary to protect our liberty, that WE see fit to establish. And we won't be asking permission of the ruling class as they have no authority grant us permission for anything. And Megan, I respect your father for what he suffered at the hands of evil in service to this nation. I have no respect for you as you have earned none.
