This nation is closer to a Civil War than it has been since 1861.

This nation is closer to a Civil War than it has been since 1861.

Scary thought, isn’t it? Especially to those who have seen war and know from personal experience what it is like. If you are older than 35, would you ever have dreamed that one day, in our lifetimes, our country would be reduced to this? Sometimes it makes me want to cry for America. It makes me want to throw a fit and smash things, rage and scream like a wild man. I want to grab my weapons, march to Washington DC, stand up in front of Congress and the president and say, “Now Look, this is the way it is going to be or by God, I will start shooting!

Kind of childish, isn’t it? I didn’t ask for the crap that is going on today. I don’t want it. I am near 60 years old. All I wanted was to live out the rest of my days in peace. I wanted to live out those days in the America that I knew and loved, where one was safe and didn’t have to worry about what the government was planning to do to you.

So much for that. Life has changed, as it is supposed to. But it is not a good change. It remains to be seen what good can come from this state of affairs. The one thing I do know is that it is up to us . . . each one of us. . . yes, that means you . . . to bring forth whatever good can be found.

Doubtful. These days, even most conservatives are more worried about the next episode of American Idol and keeping up with the Kardashians than they are in the state of our country.

REVOLT, not rebellion. REVOLT is lawful opposition against illegitimate/ corrupt govt, rebellion is unlawful uprising against legitimate, good government.

Your point is very well taken, and needs to be trumpeted around here often.

OUR position is the legitimate, the Constitutional high ground.

It's the enemy -and yes, that's precisely what they've become - who are the illegitimate traitorous usurpers .

No its not.

Talk of civil war is as realistic as those on the left wishing everybody was sitting around singing Kum ba yah...

Every state simply has to many folks dependent on the Federal government for thier survival...folks on SS, veterans pensions, government assistance, government pay checks etc are not going to give those benefits up no matter how much some may wish/believe. It ain't gonna happen ...

You posted what I was thinking; it is time we start “thinking” about what was once unthinkable-at least since 1865. A Civil War-(actually a Social War) is coming, the only question is when.

In "The Vision" (1972) by David Wilkerson, God showed him that some Mediterranean country would default and that would cause bank runs and economic collapse in Europe that would spread to America within a couple weeks and that would cause an economic crash here worse than the 1930's and that would ignite urban communist riots that would burn down big cities and become an all out destructive barbaric civil war resulting in foreign invasions. Read the book because he said a lot about youths, homosexuals, satanist, natural disasters, etc. I've been watching it all come true since I bought the book in 1976 when I returned from Turkey.

The left wing in this country no longer pines for Peace and an Kum ba yah society. The Left wing is now working for conflict, chaos and collapse.

". . . some key [events] exacerbated the national debate, fraying trust, and national cohesion just a little more each time . . . The two-party system that had governed America . . . began to fall apart . . . interest in politics took the place of all other forms of news-related entertainment . . . politicians were the celebrities . . . .. I just can't avoid thinking about this from for Love & Liberty by Robin Young and it's about 1857 America.

“It is too apparent that the govt is trying to provoke and instigate a civil war.”

But it is also apparent that it is looking more and more like a rebellion is needed to clean out DC and the country from its evil state.

Maybe its just me, but I think the issue is much bigger. I think it comes down to the battle of good and evil. We are battling evil in its many guises. *as for me and my house, we will follow the Lord.* I trust in God to direct my path. Of course preparation is right up there.

WHAT?!!! You don't think using FB to "organize" is a good idea? Oh my! Seriously, I hope the FB thing is just a diversion & some real "contingency" planning is underway ..... deep 'underground' where the 'Rats/Obrownshirts can't find it.

Civil War 2 ends 40 minutes after it starts when the Feds turn off the power.

Did you know that there are three separate electrical grids in America? It's true. There's the Western grid, the Eastern grid, and the Texas grid.

Guess which one the feds won't have the power to turn off?

Nobody WANTS a civil war.

Personally, I had hoped we'd have had it by now and gotten it over with so my two sons wouldn't be stuck having to fight it.

Now that they're 15 and 17, it looks like if/when civil war breaks out in this country (as I anticipate it will) they're going to be caught up in it. (Heavy sigh....)

Lost credibility with me when he used the term “libtard”.

For seven letters, I think it gets the concept across admirably.

They style themselves "progressive", but actually, they are "regressive", i.e., retarded.

The author pretty much loses all credibility though when he posts a fake NYT headline. The one in the article is a satire, not an actual headline that ever appeared in print.

LOL! I was about to call you out. You had me looking for a text headline, not a page image.

Here is a somewhat larger version of the absurd (even for the NY Slimes) page image in question:

Secret Agent Man: "REVOLT, not rebellion. REVOLT is lawful opposition against illegitimate/ corrupt govt, rebellion is unlawful uprising against legitimate, good government."

tomkat: "Your point is very well taken, and needs to be trumpeted around here often."

Don't kid yourselves.
Revolution is simply rebellion that succeeds, and becomes recognized internationally as its own lawful sovereignty.
But if an attempted revolution is defeated, then it remains a rebellion and, as Benjamin Franklin quipped on July 4, 1776:

The US Constitution recognizes the Federal Government's authority to defeat rebellions, insurrections, "domestic violence", invasions, declared wars and treason against the United States.
This authority was first exercised by President Washington against the Whiskey Rebellion (not "revolution") in 1794, using the newly passed Militia Act of 1792.

Remember, neither "revolution" not "rebellion" need necessarily be violent -- for examples, "a revolution in style" might imply more red colors, but not blood, while a "rebellion of the nerds" suggests replacing jocks with nerds in student government, but no gunfire.

So the bottom line is this: to be constitutional and lawful, there is simply no substitute -- zero, zip, nada -- for winning majorities of voters in your county, city, state and national elections.

Meaning, if you wish to "revolt", then you must first go talk to your Democrat neighbors, and convince them to vote Republican.

Sorry, but there's no other lawful way.
