Churches in the United States are turning their backs on religious liberalism at home and looking 9,000 miles away to “biblically orthodox” Uganda for a spiritual refuge. In November, Anglicans at South Riding Church in Fairfax, Virginia, became the latest congregation to break from their roots and join the Church of Uganda instead.A dozen others have done the same, a symptom of religious conservatives’ deep discomfort over scriptural revisionism and the Church’s growing acceptance of homosexuality. It is a further sign of the widening schisms threatening the Anglican communion and comes as reforms implemented last week allow homosexuals in Britain to...

My heart bleeds for them too. And Uganda is reportedly 80% Christian. They are also disarmed by the UN and doing their best to “play fair” by UN rules [unlike muslim nations]. We need those Christian people armed — every home — so they can defend themselves. But their clergy has been educated in Western-influenced colleges I bet, limp wristed gun control type thinking which poisons their doctrine studies.

You guys heard this story?

Don’t see a FR thread on it.

In 1982 a German man raped and murdered his French stepdaughter. Germany refused to extradite him for some reason.

A couple years ago the real father had some guys kidnap the German and smuggle him across the border. Now he’s on trial and so is the father for kidnapping him.
