"Really? Gov. Palin has the gravitas..."

Gov. Palin only has gravitas in the eyes of her followers who number less than 15% of voters.

There is no such contract that could prevent a person from quitting etc.

As if Fox would sue her for quitting to run for President

>> “And make no mistake, this is a CNN debate masquerading as a “TEA Party” event. They want the TEA Party there to make these candidates look extreme.” <<

.
Exactly, and also, TPX is NOT the TEA Party! - TPX is a media group themselves, and are trying to hijack the TEA Party name.

I said a while ago that more to the point, Fox will NOT allow her to end her contract and it has spurred some animosity between her and Fox. It is more likely they have given her a drop dead date and she must fulfil her contract until then.

Apparently you just completely made this up. Palin could simply say at any time, privately or publicly, that she plans to run for President and Fox News would let her out of her contract immediately. All it took for Gingrich and Santorum was to begin the process of considering setting up exploratory committees and Fox terminated their contracts.

Fox is most certainly NOT holding Palin back from entering the presidential race. Seriously, people need to stop making excuses for her tease campaign. Governor Palin is keeping her options open I suppose, but she has made exactly zero preparations to run for President in 2012.

“Of course she did! She cant make money at the debate can she? She’s a celebrity! She isn’t now, and never will be, a candidate for president in 2012.”

Your cynicism is neither accurate nor appreciated. And if you’re a Perry supporter, shame on y0u. If your a Mittophile or a Paultard....it’s expected

Looks more like a Two man race between Palin and Perry, why go be humiliated by CNN and their homophobe questions?

Absurd comment, but to be expected from one with so little political understanding.

Her move to Phoenix was in preparation for her term as president.

Gov. Palin only has gravitas in the eyes of her followers who number less than 15% of voters.

15% of Republican voters. Something on the order of 2/3rds of GOP primary voters don't even want her in the race.

The excuses being made for her tease campaign are getting pretty desperate. Apparently her die hard supporters actually believe she can wait till the state filing deadlines are upon us, having made zero effort to create state organizations or hire staff, and then toss up a Facebook post and the masses will flock to her.

She's not running. Governor Palin will be firing up the base and actively working to elect whoever is the actual GOP nominee.

Here’s the deal. A contract is a contract. Why would Fox enter a contract with anyone that allows them to just leave *at will*? What is far more likely is that there is a minimum timeframe she must adhere to in the contract and THEN she has the option to withdraw. What I think happened is that this election season started far earlier than anyone anticipated...and the reason for THAT was to jump in BEFORE Sarah Palin to try and minimize her. That is what happened with Bachmann AND Perry.
I am an independent contractor and not once have I signed a contract with a client that allows me to simply walk away in the middle of a job left unfinished...unless it is under the most egeregious circumstances.

If she had accepted the CNN invitation to debate, it would have likely been a violation of her contract with Fox News

If she had accepted the CNN invitation to debate, she would have been an idiot, like the other candidates. Why on EARTH would Republicans agree to have gangs of leftist jerks from CNN, MSNBC, and Politico run their debates?

Hadn’t she already accepted this invitation? I was certain I saw that info confirmed in several news accounts on FR?

” Palin Turned Down Invitation...”

Well, I guess so. Why would a non candidate NOT turn it down? There’s millions of non candidates. They are calling her out, huh? Gawd. How embarrassing.

When Sarah declares, her Fox contract is over. Since Fox can't ‘force’ her not to run, how long she stays and when she leaves is entirely up to her...unless Fox fires her before she declares and that would be highly unlikely.

Were either Gingrich or Santorum a threat to the status quo as Palin surely is? Was fox visibly hostile to either Gingrich or Santorum as they are to Palin? Both appear on Fox as often, or even MORE often, than they did before. Does either one of them generate the numbers that an appearance by Palin does?
Palin makes Fox a LOT of money.
I think it is you who is giving Palin short shrift.

” Which is especially noteworthy since my post said basically....nothing!”

LOL! I know, but I agreed with what he said. The thread will go ballistic anyway. I am giddy and excited and think everyone is having a LOT of fun with the Rickster hipsters.
Are you going to watch foot ball or the debates, or both?
