I guess they cant help it, but some bestselling rightwing authors have surprising tastes.
Ann Coulter: Louis Vuitton | Coulter (above) likes making fun of those pro-appeasement Frenchmen, but shes also been caught on camera strolling around the Hamptons with her Louis Vuitton bag, and cant resist French restaurants, where she orders Freedom Fries just to stir the pot, our guess.
Jonah Goldberg: Whole Foods | But thankfully he doesnt have a man bag, or drive a pious Prius, to the best of our knowledge. Whole Foods where I shop frequently, by the way admits Goldberg in Liberal Fascism is fascinating.
Michelle Makin: Banana Republic | Ive got $50 Banana Republic flats, which I thought were a splurge until I saw the other Michelles footwear, the budget conscious Michelle Malkin has blogged. She usually wears her ratty old New Balance sneakers.

Freedom Fries? I though they were Traitor Tots!
Pretty silly article. Almost as silly as the NYTs photographing a woman in Bloomingdales (I think) buying a pair of $1,000 shoes. That woman has put money back into the economy. Just like - as Jay Carney says - people who are on the dole put money back into the economy.
Call them the “Herbal Tea” Party?
This snobbery is useful ? I don’t think so.
People earn their money and should spend it as they please. If you don’t like it, too bad.
Are we supposed to think they’re hypocrites or something?
Are we supposed to think they’re hypocrites or something?
Whole Foods founder and CEO, John Mackey, hates Obamacare and unions, what’s not to like...?
I remember when the CEO came out against ObamaCare and the liberals boycotted them.
I, personally, don't see the issue with Goldberg shopping there.
As far as Banana Republic, well, before it was bought by the Gap, they had the best casual clothes around for both men and women (as well as a really good travel book section).
I still have a hard time wrapping my arms around inserting politics into shopping. Shopping should be about finding the best combination of price, quality, and features based upon ones' budget. When one starts to insert "union made", "support liberal politics", "fair trade", or whatever, does that not create some sort of artificiality that does not need to exist?
For example, I don't buy Starbucks. Not because they support liberal politics, but because their coffee sucks and is overpriced. I don't eat at Red Lobster, again, not because of them supporting PP, but because I think their food is terrible (likewise with Olive Garden).
A lot of folks talk about "Made in the USA" as a big buying decision. Well, the reason why so much industrial activity has been taken off-shore is because of excessive government regulation making it almost impossible to buy something here. If you, in turn, support this, rather than using the value argument, are you not supporting this government regulation? Would it not be better to support getting rid of that excessive regulation so that manufacturers could bring jobs back here?
I don't particularly like liberal attempts to "moralize." Or liberal catcalls when conservatives refuse to act in accordance with their expectations.
I don’t get the notion that the finer things are to be reserved for socialists and Marxist. Just the opposite. I have Armani hanging in my closet.
Whole Foods stands by Ramadan campaign

WORD on Red Lobster and Olive Garden. I had RL sussed 30 years ago and never went back, didn’t eat at OG until recently, never again. Are they owned by the same company? The food in both has the same plastic quality.
I still have my “tiny” LV handbag from 1982....I paid $275.00 for it back then and now it sells for $450.00...Not a bad investment.....
Yes, Red Lobster and Olive Garden are both owned by the Darden Restaurant group. Also Longhorn Steakhouse.
Is Longhorn as bad as the other two?
I thoiught Panera Bread had that liberal elitist look about it- but I heard the owner is a big Palin supporter.
They need to start firing the liberal dweebs who are working in some of their shops.
I went to one recently and swore I would never go bck (until I heard they were NOT owned by libtards)
Now I want to warn them
I would like to see Ann wearing that~!
We could afford that stuff, but I like thrift shops. (But that’s just me.) We drive a 1999 Accord. I can’t wrap my head around the ridiculous prices of some of those places; it seems obscene in some way. Growing up, most of our clothes came out of the “missionary barrel” at church, so seeing wretched excess is a foreign concept.
Still, these people should be able to shop anywhere they please and pay as much as they please if their money was earned honestly. More power to them! I get so tired of the stirrer-uppers bringing in class envy at every opportunity. (Tell me the left-wing Hollywood crowd avoids Whole Foods, etc.)
