We could afford that stuff, but I like thrift shops. (But that’s just me.) We drive a 1999 Accord. I can’t wrap my head around the ridiculous prices of some of those places; it seems obscene in some way. Growing up, most of our clothes came out of the “missionary barrel” at church, so seeing wretched excess is a foreign concept.
Still, these people should be able to shop anywhere they please and pay as much as they please if their money was earned honestly. More power to them! I get so tired of the stirrer-uppers bringing in class envy at every opportunity. (Tell me the left-wing Hollywood crowd avoids Whole Foods, etc.)
My wife LOVES New England thrift shops...snotty female democrats from Massachusetts dump their brand-new clothes at the thrift store for the 'down-trodden masses', and my wife swoops down on the bargains like a buzzard on a gut wagon.
Not junk, either...Talbot, Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek, Chico's...
