For some time now, residents of some US cities have noted occasional incidents of seemingly random, racially motivated violence in which young Black males are involved. The hot weather and bad economy seem to be combining to generate a small but possibly significant uptick this year. The national media are doing their best to avoid looking too closely at this disturbing phenomenon, and perhaps for good reason. What the United States doesn’t need is a media firestorm that triggers copycat violence.

Nevertheless some attention should be paid.

Here’s the problem if you live in an area with a large population of thugs. If you kill one protecting your property they’ll use social media to put together an “army” to come burn you out.

And Londoners are learning you can’t count on the cops. In short, you’re screwed. So, the only advise is to take as many as you can with you.

uh... a lot. because in a "mob" the key is getting the instigator and a couple of those nearest the leaders which tend to be the loud mouths. A couple of mags and maybe beer bottles with gasoline and magnesium/powdered soap could do a lot to discourage a crowd to attack your home.

Any one have a good suggestion on an after market recoil pad for a Mossy 500?

I got a recoil pad for mine, down at Wal-Mart. I think the brand was Winchester, and it was 15 or 20 bucks. It helped a lot! In fact, I also got one to put on my Mosin-Nagant 91/30, and I don't get the purple shoulder anymore!

If there is an explosion in 2012, there won’t be anyone caring about being considered law abiding, they will care more about survival, their own and that of their families and friends. There will be mounted automatic weaponry and there will be people out there making sure to get in kills, one after another. These flash mobs are not as invincible as they think they are. Frankly I am more than sure that once these crowds meet with unaccustomed resistance, they will either back down, or continue to what is a suicidal route.

I mean really, this country was not founded on the Queensberry rules.

The United States badly needs a workable and affordable post-Great Society approach to the inner cities. Unfortunately, we don’t have this yet and it is quite possible that we will face some testing times as a result.

Using who's money? Borrow more from the Chinese? Ha! Those in the know understand the rather rude attitude the Chinese have for Africans. This should be fun to watch. Piss more public money down the African American rat hole...

He makes a number of valid points, but IMO works a little too hard trying to soften the edges of what should be some obvious conclusions.

He just can’t bring himself to say it out loud. The Dems have fostered this attitude of violence deliberately for years, especially worked at it since Zero was installed in the WH.

Correct me if I read him wrong, but I got the impression he’s concerned that if white people start defending themselves, they (whites, with a lower case “w”) will be the cause of widespread violence.

And again the notion that if economic times were robust we’d all be arm in arm singing kum by ya. Obama and the Dems have, and are still, actively fostered racial hatred and encouraged violence by blacks. Plain and simple fact.

They have played the Race Card so much, that has in itself encouraged black on white violence. They know it, they want just that to happen.
