Can we please keep comments about the Mormon faith off the political discussion threads?

As we enter the GOP primary season, I'm starting to notice more and more an annoying trend here in FR. It seems as though everytime there's an article, or someone posts a comment about Romney, either pro or con, it nearly always devolves into an extended, and acrimonious discussion about the Mormon faith. Those who defend it, and those who, for whatever reasons, can't abide it, both sides seem determined to wage an "end of times" batte on all the FR threads. Frankly, I'm tired of it, and just wish it would stop. I think that probably 99% of others here feel the same way.

My sister just helpfully reminded me of the city slickers around my area with the accidental sorched earth policy.
They cut their grass so short that it burned in the sun.

We live at the base of a slight hill, surface drainage is in our direction.
We don’t hae to worry too much about burning the grass.
We have to worry about it becoming a swamp and taking over.

I see. How is it for you when you get big big rain storms? I’m sure it all drains your way. I’ve seen houses that are sort of at the base of small hills and the driveways slant down towards the garage. It just looks like when they get rain, it all goes down the driveway and under the garage door and into the garage....
