You have no good knowledge of what Alaska was paying for and why she gave up her job to draw fire away from Alaska’s state government. You should read her first book so that you know more. And there are other sources besides her book, but that’s a start.

yea, because she is so hard core GOP.

the independents want govt under control. show me anyone else that not only hosed run away spending and corruption for the opposite party.. but also her own.

the independents also want spending under control. she has unique experience there.. putting her money where her mouth is.

she also created her own company... showing she understands the little guy, because she WAS the little guy.

is there anyone else more independent then someone that will buck her own party for the good of the state?

the left keeps pushing about how ‘unelectable’ she is. in reality, she is uniquely electable... uniquely more qualified... uniquely more appealing to the average person. conservative and independent.

fact is, she pulls at the female vote which the left depends on. she also pulls the independent and heavily on the conservative side. that’s well over 50% of the electorate.

the progressives have been running scared of her since the last election. you can tell by the relentless attacks on her... for the passed 2 1/2 years.

Moses quit the Egyptian Royal family to follow God. You calling HIM a quitter?

Reagan quit the Democrat Party to become a Republican. You calling HIM a quitter?

Good examples!

You wouldn’t by any chance be a Mitten, out there in Utah, would you? Identity politics seem to prevail in your state and I doubt Palin would get more than 35% in the primary there—though she’d be just fine in the general.

No. We need to win the independent vote to win the presidency. She cannot win that vote.

Ya we need to do what people like you did last time, McCain 2012! He really got that Indy vote, the right stayed home!

I voted "no way". The day she left her job as governor before the completing her term, she became unqualified in my opinion to be a president; I don't want a president who will quit half way.

That is my opinion....flame away.

No flaming from me, I'm for Sarah but you, like every one else is entitled to have one asshole and an opinion, it's just that your opinion is in your ...

BTW, I wish the current President would resign.

Yes to Palin, but Bachmann is a valuable asset right where she is. Maybe a future contender, though.

No flames, but a differing perspective. She saw that the leftist attempts to destroy her would affect her job to the point that she'd be less effective, and did the right thing for the people she served.

Are We The People ready to bring that confrontation to the national scale? Because that is what will hallmark a Palin presidency following the rejection of barry the bastard. Frankly, I say it is past time to confront these commie vermin openly, so a Palin presidency is an essential in my calculus ... this cancer must be brought to ahead while we still have a chance to lance the pus and clean up the infection that is the democrap party agenda. We will not save OUR Republic if we allow these vermin to bus their thuggery all over the place and have their way in spot after spot. The enemies of America are flexing in WI. Stop them there and they will switch to another vulnerable spot. If Palin become president, the scum will try to exercise nationwide. THEN we can treat the cancer and kill a major portion of the germs causing this infection.

This is an ongoing list of historical, popular, Biblical, and fictional people that Sarah Palin has been compared to on FR:

I’m not going to grace your blatant bigotry with a response. Look up my history if you want an answer. Grow up and have a good day.

Trying that absurd “palin quitting the statehouse is the same as churchill evacuating the cornered british EF from dunkirk” garbage again? I bet you don’t even buy it. But it goes to show how far you palinites have to venture into fantasy to make a case.

I love Sarah Palin. She speaks the truth head on and doesn't hedge around any question. I like that. I've read her articles on WSJ and other places. She definitely has a head on her shoulders an can give quick eloquent answers to difficult questions. But, I think she has been too smeared by the media and too much bias from those who think she's too cute to think, including many conservatives including conservative women. bah But I think she is very powerful doing what she does best, threatening from the sidelines and perhaps helping to winnow down our final choices. I personally don't think she's really considering running. Today, my choices are Scott Walker,Chris Christy, Michele Bachman, Paul Ryan. Please NO NEWT-he’s over, NO HUckabee-too wishy washy-no Trump. Mitt would be ‘could be great but he will be smeared with Mormonism and worse, his Massachusetts Obama care.

Thank you for your insighful and well reasoned response. I’ve notive that Mrs. Palin has been quick on her feet in every public speaking engagement where I’ve heard her speak, but I hate that the MSM gets away with things like the infamous Couric interview.

I like Christie (fiscally, I’ve heard he’s a little squishy on 2A and Immigration) and Walker too, but think they might be best kept fixing their respective states since they are so newly elected to their own offices. I personally am tired of the way the media is run that essentially picks the candidates for us, as they did with McCain last cycle. I’ve heard almost nothing but good about Bachman and Ryan, so I’ll have to look more into them.

I think maybe things have changed a lot in the last 3 years, because while we’ve heard a lot on quick thinking Christie, we never got to hear anything like that about Palin (and I’m not sure that could ever be applicable to McCain, at least in recent memory). I think you’re right though, Mrs. Palin has been doing a lot of good from the sidelines, and with her endorsements of Tea PArty candidates, for example. Hopefully whoever is running under the Republican banner will be a good choice, because I’m not going to hold my nose again. I haven’t checked out the series Mrs. Palin ran, but maybe I will. Thanks again, and have a good one!

Sorry, I would have responded sooner, but I couldn’t stop laughing for the last half hour.

Look at that list. Welcome to the theater of the absurd.

Thank you EveningStar.

Would you support Palin running for President?

Only as soon as I would support McCain for President.

Which is to say, never.
