When your brains is trying to juggle all of the Republican choices for president, Mitt, Palin, Pawlenty, Santorum...did you make any room in that noggin for...Donald Trump?
He told the crowd (at CPAC) that he would decide by June whether or not he would enter the Republican presidential primary. Trump said the Obama administration had badly bungled almost all aspects of policy – foreign and domestic.
“The United States has become a whipping post for the rest of the world,” he said. “The world is treating us without respect -- they are not treating us properly.”
See the rest (and even a video...ooooooh) at The Note
He's right that the world has lost respect for us. For eight years the left deluded themselves into thinking that all we needed was a president that would display a humility the rest of us knew would be taken as weakness. With each passing day the right is proven to be increasingly correct about this.
But, does Donald Trump really think he'd be the one to bring it? Maybe he could be a "respect consultant."
Or Respect Czar?
Come to think of it, why even bring government into the solution when a real conservative would just use their business acument to parlay the idea into profit...
LOL
Well I think he Trumps Romney.
I like him. And for the same reasons I liked George Bush — he is a man who thinks for himself and does not hesitate to say what he believes. No fear. I don’t even care if I don’t agree with every line item a candidate stands for, but what I do look for is someone who decides quickly and knows himself enough to know what he believes. And sees things clearly for what they really are.
Dang, I do not see that often. Sarah Palin, yes ma’am, she has it in spades. I’d like to see her as Secy of Energy or the Interior or something, fine-tuning her resume. Those two would be dynamite. I am TIRED of politicians and the get-alongs
Trump couldn’t be any worse than this Marxist punk.
Trump is a potential fascist bastard. He is just another elitist.
But, can we get over the forward comb over? LOL
As an example, if you can hire and you can fire, and if you put money to a project, you can see if things work -- is there a return on the investment? What does the balance sheet say? But in Washington, people talk for a living. A lot of them don't do anything. And there is no return; there is no balance sheet. You just keep on keeping on.
I don't see it as a good fit.
Not me.
I think it will come down to either Huckabee or Romney as the nominee.
I do not know which will prevail at this time.
Of course this assumes that either gentleman will throw their hat in the ring, announce their candidacy and also that no scandal comes along in the meantime to knock them out of the running.
I also do not know which gentleman I would support right now. But I think I would support any republican candidate right now over Obama no matter who it was.
I would pick Herman Cain over Trump in a second.
Is Huckabee still in it? I read yesterday he was expected not to run now.
I am not sure that Trump is an Elitist, he is Elite for sure, but is he strongly pro American? I would say yes. Is he for global government like Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and Obama are, I think NO.
Have we ever had a leader that actually knows how to create wealth? No.
IMO, if someone like this looked like he could win, the real elites will have him killed.
Donald Trump isn’t going to win the primaries. He doesn’t have a conservative record. He’s a populist, and he called Bush the worst president in history.
Trump is a buffoon. However, he is one of several buffoons seeking the GOP nomination. Following a celebrity/reality TV star is not our path to re-taking the White House and saving the country from the Muslim Marxist.
To start game, get born with 100 million dollars, and a Davey Crockett hat.
an expression comes to mind:
The decline and fall of the US Empire.
“But I think I would support any republican candidate right now over Obama no matter who it was.”
I am with you on that.
Trump, like Romney, certainly has the money to run.
Trump said Ron Paul could not win.
I wonder what Trump’s chances are realistically as well.
i would guess pro gun control and pro baby killing...just a hunch
