Reinstitute the House Committee on Un-American Activities

The House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA) or House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC, 1938–1975) was an investigative committee of the United States House of Representatives. In 1969, the House changed the committee's name to "House Committee on Internal Security". When the House abolished the committee in 1975, its functions were transferred to the House Judiciary Committee. The committee's anti-communist investigations are often confused with those of Senator Joseph McCarthy.

McCarthy, as a U.S. Senator, had no direct involvement with this House committee. McCarthy was the Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations of the Government Operations Committee of the U.S. Senate, not the House.

The senate needs to reinstitute a Senate Internal Security Subcommittee, (SISS). The original SISS stated it’s goal was “. . protection of the internal security of the United States and to the extent, nature, and effects of subversive activities in the United States including, but not limited to, espionage, sabotage, and infiltration of persons who are or may be under the domination of the foreign government or organization controlling the world Communist movement or any movement seeking to overthrow the Government of the United States by force and violence."

The committee subpoenaed witnesses and require the production of documents. Because of the nature of its investigations, the subcommittee is considered by some to be the Senate equivalent to the older House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC).

Therefore, the first duty of our new House of Representatives and Senate is not to curtail earmarks but to immediately reinstitute the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA) and Senate Internal Security Subcommittee (SISS) to start investigating the communists in our government - from the top down. Communism, socialism, the CPUSA and world government statists are threats to our national security. I propose they start with President Obama and ask him the twenty or so relevant question about his past socialist/communist mentors and organizations. "Were you ever involved or a member of The New Party in Illinois? Did you ever work with Bernadine Dohrn? Bill Ayers? Michael Klonksy? Rashid Khalidi? The Annenberg Foundation? The Apollo Alliance? Dr. Khalid Al Mansour? Please tell me about your relationship with Frank Marshall Davis. Were you involved with SDS when you were in college?" (I can think of twenty questions right off the bat – I’m sure our new congressman will have plenty more.)

Obama is a Marxist trained communist. Any doubts?, Go Here, Here, Here and Here. (Check The Obama Files on the right at the NewZeal blog) I would love to be the one facing him eye to eye and asking, “President Obama, please tell me about your past associations with the Communist Party USA, the Democratic Socialists of America and the Committees of Correspondence."

Then, the various member of the inner circle of the White House: Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, Van Jones and virtually all members of the Obama administration including each Czar. As Michael Savage said, “Can anyone name an Obama appointment or organization that he’s affiliated himself with that is Pro-American?” I can’t think of any person or organization, can you?

Next, it high time they bring in George Soros and run the twenty or so questions by him. In my opinion, he is a national security risk and wants the conversion of America into a socialist state that legalizes drugs so he can run the drug trade and be the richest man in world history. He needs to be questioned and potentially arrested for treason depending on what the committee finds out. "Mr. Soros, could you please elaborate on your five-point plan for taking over a country?" After Mr. Soros, subpoena Maurice Strong and Andy Stern. There are many others that come to mind. I’ll leave the complete list up to the dutiful work of the various congressional staffers.

Then, the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Congressional Black Caucus need to be questioned. I have read there are 70 Congressmen who are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. So question one, with your list in hand would be, "Have you ever been a member of the Democratic Socialists of America? Are you a communist, or member of the Communist Party USA? What are you views on socialized medicine? Are you a believer in a One World Socialist Government?"

Next, it’s time for all officials from the Communist Party USA to be subpoenaed and questioned in depth and prosecuted if necessary. I would submit to our new congressman that the CPUSA needs to be immediately investigated and monitored by our FBI with ‘trust but verify’ oversight of FBI reports by the HCUA and SISS.

Then it’s time for the State Department, long a hotbed of socialist sympathizers. Hillary in front of the committee? Yes, she’s an avowed Fabian Socialist and needs to be confronted as to the degree of her communist sympathies.

The extent of the communist infiltration of our Federal Government has to be ascertained if we are going to survive as a Constitutional Republic. Is a Congressional and Senatorial Committee to investigate this cancer a good idea? Is survival of America worthwhile? I say Yes and we need to start in January. Our system of government simply cannot survive continued communist infiltration. Find the communists, try them if necessary and imprison them as national security risks or extradite them to the communist country of their choice.

We all know about the 45 communist goals as outlined in the Congressional Record of January 10, 1963: Communist Goals (1963):

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, and policymaking positions.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture. Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture -- education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures that interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["] united force ["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

45. Repeal the Connally Reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

Well folks, how are we doing? Or better yet, how are they doing? Doesn’t look so good does it? For those of you who think the HCUA/SISS idea is divisive and will be used against us I say to you how long do we continue to live in denial? We need to confront this domestic enemy if we are going to survive. They are coming out of the closet, presenting themselves as mainstream and are getting more aggressive. It’s time we fight back!

Reinstitute the House Committee of Un-American Activities and a Special Senate Internal Security Subcommittee in January 2011! I would propose the Chair of each Committee be a long term Representative/Senator and all other members be Freshman Representatives and Senators.

A Landslide Mandate For Change

A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!

We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-people’s movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all people’s movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.

The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and people’s unity.

There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.

The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

Change is Here, Change is Coming

Let me begin with a simple observation: If the last 30 years were an era of reaction, then the coming decade could turn into an era of reform, even radical reform. Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years.

In this legislative session, we can envision winning a Medicare-like public option and then going further in the years ahead.

We can visualize passing tough regulatory reforms on the financial industry, which brought the economy to ruin.

We can imagine the troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan while U.S. representatives participate in a regional process that brings peace and stability to the entire region.

In the current political climate, the expansion of union rights becomes a real possibility.

Much the same can be said about winning a second stimulus bill, and we sure need one, given the still-rising rate, and likely long term persistence, of unemployment.

Isn’t it possible in the Obama era to create millions of green jobs in manufacturing and other sectors of the economy in tandem with an attack on global warming?

Can’t we envision taking new strides in the long journey for racial and gender equality in this new era, marked at its beginning by the election of the first African American to the presidency?

And isn’t the overhaul of the criminal justice and prison system – a system steeped in racism – no longer pie-in-the sky, but something that can be done in the foreseeable future?

All these things are within reach now!

Yeah, American history was nothing but killing Indians and enslaving blacks. We get it. I think we know enough about Russian history from 1917-1991 to realize why we do not want that in America.

Not quite accomplished yet.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

Most unions (eg. the UAW) aren’t communist, they’re just a buncha greedy pigs who want $50 an hour plus benefits to work an assembly line. Now the SEIU are total commies.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

Why do you have businesses wanting more and more and more free trade? And you need only look at the big media conglomerates and their politics.
