Red State reports that Google might be giving bogus results about maps and directions to Glenn Beck’s rally.
"A reader emails that if you search Google today, on the eve of Glenn Beck’s rally, a search for Lincoln Memorial turns up, instead, the wrong address. And not just any wrong address either; it takes you to the FDR Memorial. Curious."
I have to say, and this may not be popular, but I question Glenn Beck and his motives. Don’t yell at me. I don’t disagree with his message or the research he’s done. I just don’t like this whole cult of personality thing going on here.
Creeps me out.

I’ve not posted about why Glenn Beck elicits the reaction from me that he does, but I’ve appreciated reading that I’m not the only one.
Google it, I did. You ask for the Lincoln Memorial and it gives you the primary marker on the Roosevelt Memorial. Google must have people with too much time on their hands.

Good point, but I don’t think many of the people attending tomorrow will be driving in Washington. They’ll either park at the hotel and walk or they’ll take the metro and walk. Either way, it won’t be a problem.
Beck is a good man. I listen to him and I like him. Not only is he a strong conservative who I truly think that he believes in everything he preaches, but he has a wicked sense of humor as well. Glenn would be welcome in my home anytime.
He turns me off more and more. Something is not right. I feel like I am being led somewhere, by someone who is hiding his true intentions. Then again, I don’t know what this rally is about. I read what the rally website says, and it is all so vague. Mentions the 1st Amendment and some charity and honor. That said, and it is a lot, I still am rooting for him.
The guy made $39mil last year. His motives can’t be money related. Why do you think he’s doing all of this? Does he want to write himself into history? Can’t think of a better cause if so...
Watch it and decide for yourself.

a Democrat who interned American citizens if they happened to be of the wrong race (FDR).

Also interesting is the “white house” (sic) term linkage to this (see the ad to the right of the search results).
Beck has been discussing the reasons for the rally for many months. If you’ve been watch his shows then you should understand. You really don’t need to read about it because he’s been discussing it.
What creeps me out is that with the gathering of thousands of American Patriots in DC...showing our strength and resolve...that anyone would feel the need to call it a “cult”.

Glenn’s trying to weaken the lefts “owner-ship” of blacks and unions. His strategy is working.

I agree. If Beck, regardless of his “powdery face” can get people united about re-taking this country, I don’t care if he shows up in Insane Clown Posse makeup.
Beck is fine, Rush is great, Hannity ok, but I prefer Levin. We need all of them as they reach different segments. They are all true patriots.

No need to be defensive. I am not running anyone down, but commenting on how I feel about a person who has put himself in the public eye. Now, he may do that because he believes very strongly in what he does, and if so I applaud him for it. But, it doesn't mean I have to like him. And I don't. He gives me the creeps. If I had to give a reason I would say it is something in his delivery, with all the super-quiet intense stare stuff, and the almost whispery and just a bit too dramatically pensive voice, quickly followed by an equally too angry and, what comes off to me as not terribly realistic indignant shouting. It is just too much for me, and it all comes across in a kind of creepy way.
That said, and it is a lot, I still am rooting for him.
Yes, insofar as I am in agreement with him I feel as you do. I don't like watching him, and he rubs me the wrong way, but as I had said I do agree with most of what he says and so I also hope he pulls off whatever it is he is aiming for. Assuming he is sincere in what he is trying to do.
