Stephen Hawking Says Aliens Exist... But Are They an End-Times Deception?

Interesting thoughts on "aliens" by Stephen Hawking. Question - Is it possible that "aliens" are really just a demonic deception that will be revealed in the last days to lead us astray?

“He suggests that aliens might simply raid Earth for its resources and then move on: “We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet. I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonise whatever planets they can reach.””

It seems Hawking has mistaken watching recent Sci-Fi out of Hollywood for research.

These guys - Sagan, Hawking, they pull numbers out of their wazoo and then claim it is “rational” to be certain of something. As smart as some of these guys claim to be, none seem to want to admit that they have no idea if they are off by a factor of 10, 100, or 1,000,000++ with their mathematical estimates.

Then Hawking’s mathematical mind doesn’t address the impossibly vast distances and times that any intelligent aliens would have to conquer to even make us aware of them.

The mathematical fact is that even if you believe there are millions of intelligent alien civilizations out there, it is so highly unlikely that we’d even detect them, much less be visited by them - friendly or not.

I’m surprised otherwise rational folks can even pretend to be be serious about this topic.

This is the same Hawking who came up with the goofy theory of multiple “parallel universes” without a shred of evidence to back it up...

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

The guy sits around dreaming up fantastic theories, none of which have any practical application, yet he's adored and worshiped as the ultimate high guru of physics.

I'll bet that a lot of hard-working physicists have their own thoughts about that.

Why would demons bother to create the illusion of flying saucers, grays, LGMs, etc.? Seems like a waste of everyone’s energy.

“In my view, the universe is literally teeming with life, though I have little but reasoning and logic to support that view. “

In this point, you are in complete alignment with Hawking. But you at least recognize the actual vastness of the problem and have the humility to admit there is no way to actually know the answer to the alien life question.

If they're there, they'll look like this.

Do you remember when scientists just did scientific experiments and tried to make scientific break throughs that would benefit mankind like discovery of a polio vaccine, or disease resistant crops, or discovering electricity etc. etc. without indulging in speculation and wild fantasy? Yeah, me neither.

They wouldn't.

I just watched about an hour of clips from NASA missions where they filmed objects in space which clearly changed trajectory in mid-flight, cast shadows on the moon, were detected by ground-based telemetry, and exhibited other strange behavior, such as matching the exact speed and direction of our spacecraft before moving off.

In some of these clips, the astronauts can be heard having conversations with the ground controllers about these objects. Many times, the word "visitors" was used to describe them by both crew and controllers.

There's a video of Edgar Mitchell, famous astronaut, talking about the fact that he and every other astronaut of the Apollo and Gemini missions observed strange, unknown craft operating in their mission vicinities.

He goes on to say that there's no question that earth is under constant surveillance by extraterrestrials, and that governments all over the world are hiding this fact.

“I do agree with him, however, that there are other intelligent species in the universe.”

I agree, but I do not think we have ever been, or will be visited.
I know that you kook to kook AM fans get your panties in a twist over that, but it is only my opinion.

Keep in mind, the nearest star that could have planets with life is 11 light years away, baring some unknown law of physics that relate to parallel universes...oh, whatever....

Is There Intelligent Life in Outer Space?

I think this is an excellent article on the subject.

On a purely personal note, I can’t help thinking we should do our best to find intelligent life on Earth before we start worrying about finding aliens from outer space.

He says the tiny black holes that might come from CERN will evaporate (”Hawking Radiation”) and are nothing to worry about. Or maybe not.

Hawking was among the very first to describe the characteristics of black holes. That alone is all needed to make him an icon. Hawking radiation etc.

With the universe as old as it is (13.75 ±0.17 billion years old), were star-travel possible, it would have been done ten thousand times, or so, by now in our galaxy alone. It hasn't, so it won't. (Implies it CAN'T...)

The election of obama indicates all high tech civilizations are suicidal.

Well, I did say that it's just "my view". Everyone falls somewhere on this subject, from complete disbelief, to total bug-eyed certainty that "aliens are among us!"

For me, simple reason and logic dictate that I must accept that there can't be but only one planet in the entire universe that supports intelligent life.

As far as whether "they're" here or not, there's a mountain of evidence to support the notion that they are. Having never witnessed them firsthand myself, I tend to believe the decades worth of reports I've seen.

Again, reason and logic tell me that all of those reports can't be false. There are just too many of them, and many come from extremely reliable, and highly qualified witnesses. Then there's the photographic evidence, radar signatures, ground impressions, radiation readings, etc. There's simply too much of it to ignore.

Here's another one... remember ALH 84001, the Mars meteorite that was found in Antarctica back in 1996? To this day, I believe that that rock contains microscopic fossils of once-living creatures.

It's a big universe, and we haven't even begun to scratch the surface of it yet. There are lifetimes worth of incredible discoveries to come.

...you kook to kook AM fans...

Why does everyone who wants to have an intelligent conversation about this subject have to get thrown in with the bug-eyed lunatics and true believers?

Can't a person reach their own conclusions based on their own observations and reasoned analysis?

Sheeesh....

A virus.

But hey! What's a few million years on Earth to evolve and take over after a million light years travel in space.

The present US regime must be filled with aliens given the level of deception that flows out of WDC these days.

What if the aliens planted “End Times Prophecies” in ancient religions to thwart and confuse humanity because their timeline for taking over the planet was thousand of years in the future?

Hawking was among the very first to describe the characteristics of black holes. That alone is all needed to make him an icon.

Fair enough, but I wonder if his theories about black holes have ever been proven? If he's responsible for an honest breakthrough in that area, then he deserves the accolades for it.

With the universe as old as it is (13.75 ±0.17 billion years old), were star-travel possible, it would have been done ten thousand times, or so, by now in our galaxy alone. It hasn't, so it won't.

Ah...but you're proceeding from the postulate that "it's never been done", which you cannot prove. Many believe that it has, and that star travel has been going on for millions of years throughout the cosmos.

Neither one of those propositions can be proven conclusively at present, so we're left with the lingering question, aren't we?
