Do Horses Go to Heaven?
march 19 2010 | beebuster2000

A neighbor's horse just died. They sent out an e mail saying they would see the horse again in Heaven. Leaving aside the issue of wether this particular neighbor will get to Heaven anyway (of which i have my doubts), but it made me think: do Horses go to Heaven? I dont recall anything in the Bible about animals in Heaven.

To my knowledge, the Bible doesn’t directly address this....it only addresses what it takes for people to go to Heaven (and it’s quite clear on that subject).

Well, horses are mentioned in the book of Revelation. But I think it might be allegorical to some degree.

There are psychics who claims that the spirits of pets survive death and linger near their owners. Heaven is another matter.

God made man in his own image.

There is something very special about a man.

All of God’s creation is magnificent. But there is a definite order to things, and we are higher than the animals.

I’m not God, so I don’t know about the wonders He has planned for us in Heaven. But they are wonderful indeed.

How about Ezekiel and the Chariot of Fire?

Was it pulled by a horse or by a mule?

A similar question has been asked on the other side of the globe. “Do dogs have Buddha-nature?”

If they didn’t, why did God call Chris LeDoux home at such a young age?

I don’t like horsies. Let’s talk about fluffy bunnies instead. Do fluffy white bunnies go to heaven?

The Bible doesn’t specifically mention animals in heaven. However, in Romans 8, it does say that the whole creation is waiting for the redemption of the body of Christ. The body of Christ is an expression meaning all the believers.

So, I fully expect to see horses and dogs in heavens. Cats ought to be judged on individual merit (my opinion!). Crocodiles, cockroaches and cassowaries will be denied (again, my opinion!).

I’ve heard some theologians say there might be animals in heaven. But as far as your dog or cat or horse being in heaven. I dont know about that.

The Bible is very clear that there will be animals in heaven:

Isa 65:25 5 The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain,” says the LORD. NIV

I just googled it..

In the animal kingdom, only the Platypus and Spider Monkey can go to heaven. Whales can hang out in Purgatory, but are limited to that level of other worldlyness. Some other animals have a shot at reincarnation, but that really just depends on their karma. Cockroaches all go to hell. Also gnats, they go to hell too.

Not sure, but that wasn’t directly addressing Heaven. Now, I must add that there have been accounts of people who have ‘died’ and went to Heaven....but came back. You can choose to accept or reject their accounts (personally, some ‘ring true’ to my ear; some don’t). Several I’ve read include their descriptions of animals in Heaven.

I’m saying I don’t know. Truth is, no one knows for sure.

I’d say most dogs like budda. They might even eat bread and budda, but you might want to send them outside not too long after they’ve eaten it.
