I was thinking that Joan was very gracious to show up at Teddy’s funeral, but then it occurred to me that she may have just wanted to be sure he was really dead!

in the 1700’s, white (along with black) was a color of mourning in europe. in the 1800’s black became more fashionable for mourning and white became more fashionable for wedding dresses.
My grandmother, born in the Ukraine in 1898, once mentioned that black was the color for wedding dresses when she was young.

Oh dear...that’s what I thought. That’s absolutely terrible. Joan Kennedy was classy and bright and GORGEOUS and she would have been the same way in her golden years but...looks like she took a different route. Why do women do this???? Men too???? It is for the moment and just seems to get worse as one goes along. Be yourself. Grow old gracefully and be dignified and proud in your later years. Botox? Plastic surgery??? Not good for anyone. A quick fix and a sad ending in most cases.
