Here is video from Sen. Arlen Specter's Town Hall Meeting today in Pennsylvania where a man calmly told him he had reviewed the Democrats' Government Health Care Bill and said "it should be dumped." He further said the Specter that he wanted was for the Congess to "leave us alone."
You have to give Specter points for at least taking real questions from people, unlike what President Obama's Town Hall was like today. Specter did a poor job of answering questions, but at least they got aired. . . . . (Watch Video)

I don’t think specter ought to get points for showing up for his job
This guy was great - very well-spoken and concise. Polite, yet firm with his conviction. The whole meeting was quite fascinating to watch, actually.
Specter at least let people express their views. He doesn’t quote or read directly from the bill itself. Nevertheless he is a DC Insider and been around for far too long. Term Limits so desperately needed!

Specter is a jerk, but he showed more courage than some of his colleagues by actually answering his constituents and more honesty than D’ohbama by actually taking some actual opposition questions.

in their town..but look at the crowd outside that meeting during the middle of the day.
That was a nice sight to see. It sure looked grassroots to me.

They are not listening! The 2010 election will be an event to remember. This is Hillary’s Health Insurance Bill repackaged, and enough people realize it to send Specter packing. He should remember what happened to Bob Edgar when he went against the people who elected him. He is remembered with distain and so will be Arlen Specter. All the right things he did will be overshadowed by his present service to the self-serving ones.
I have a feeling that Sestak and Casey will join him. Unless they wake up (let’s hope they don’t), 2012 and it’ll all be the Republican’s for a long time.
