This is a prayer request on behalf of my wife.
She has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, the same kind that Ted Kennedy had.
She will be operated on next week. She's in for testing right now.
I may or may not be able to get to a computer.
Sorry, I can't compose and type very well right now.
Most sincere prayers for you both.
Prayers for strength and for complete healing.
Thanks for the update.
Prayers continued for your wife.
Prayers continue for your wife’s full recovery.
Continuing prayers from Texas.
Prayers for your wife and prayers for you and your family KrisKrinkle.
Prayers said for your wife and for you to have all the strength to go through this with her.
Thanks to God that your wife is recovering well. I will continue asking God to heal her completely.
Continued PRayers for your beloved wife.
Well, keep fighting. Thinking good and positive thoughts. Will she be doing any kind of rehab to help get her moving better on the one side? I hope she can have some of that which would make her stronger. Time and patience I guess is all we can count on but the biggest one is prayer which we will continue to do. Just keep her positive and talk about all good things. Family, friends, memories and things to come yet in your lives together. Positive, positive, positive. Tell jokes to make her laugh..laughter is so good for all of us. Don’t allow her to hear all the bad news that is out there. Good music, inspirational music, fun music, uplifting music. Photos of the fun things you used to do together and funny stories you can both recall over the years. Messed up dinners...then perfect dinners. Funny mistakes in your lives but just keep laughing in spite of it all. I mean physical laughing as it does one so good. We will keep praying and hoping your wife gets better and stronger every singel day. One day at a time as they say. God bless you both!
“Will she be doing any kind of rehab to help get her moving better on the one side?”
She takes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Not as much to date as I would like due to the press of other appointments and fatigue from treatments, but we do the best we can.
She also tries to do things on her own at home and not just depend on me for every little thing. That’s good but the downside is sometimes she gets in “trouble” and I have to get her out of it:)

Prayers continue in abundance.
Well, that’s great news. She is taking the initiative herself. Have heard so many people doing that and it seems to be a real uplift for them. I’m sure she doesn’t want you wearing yourself down doing for her all the time although I know your love for her is strong and you don’t mind but...the fact she can try a lot of it herself says a lot for her character and strength not to mention courage. Hope she doesn’t get “in trouble” a lot. :) Keep up the good work and stay strong...both of you. We’ll do our part by praying for you all.
Prayers continue for your wife’s recovery.
This is not a bad news post. Recall that two years ago I asked for prayers for my wife who had recently been diagnosed with brain cancer. (I won't repeat all I wrote in my original post or in the updates at posts 103, 131 and 164 which some of you asked for.)
Thank you for those prayers.
The good news is that two years later my wife is still alive and after her last MRI the doctors said that she was stable as far as the cancer was concerned. No one she and I have personally known who had brain cancer has lasted that long.
She had Chemo several days a month for 18 months and an MRI every other month. The MRIs have shown no new cancer so far and a very gradual decrease in the size of the remaining (non-cancerous) tumor which the surgeon couldn't remove. Of course there is no guarantee that will continue and we continue to pray.
Unfortunately she does not have good use of her right arm and leg, plus she experienced a lot of pain and it took a while to get her medication adjusted to relieve that. Even so, the pain is not completely gone and the medication, along with everything else including the secondary things that accompany a primary illness, has left her weakened. All that leaves her pretty much confined to the bed or the wheelchair and she needs my help to transfer from one to the other.
Even so, things aren't as bad as we feared at this time two years ago or even last year.
We are both grateful to God and as well as praying for recovery, offer thanks that she is doing as well as she is.
And I ask that in addition to any prayers for my wife's recovery, you remember to say a prayer of thanks once in a while—not just for my wife or me, but for yourselves to. (I write that because after talking to people over the last little while, I'm left with the impression some folks forget to be thankful as often as perhaps they should.)
I've hesitated to post something before this because I was afraid of being premature with good news, but surviving two years is good enough in itself that it stands alone.
My wife is scheduled for another MRI later this month and we pray the result will be as good as the others, but while we count our blessings, we try to keep in mind that His plans may be different than ours.
