When the "before" photo is done under unfavorable lighting, and "after" photo is done under professional photographer's lighting to the maximum advantage of the depicted person, it is not a fair comparison, but cheating. Just shine the only light on a human face from the chin upward - and you'd create a Halloween monster out of the most beautiful face on the planet.
Yeah.
As a guy, I can tell you that I appreciate it when women use makeup...
My wife does a wonderful job with her makeup...very subtle and understated, but it makes her look just beautiful. And I appreciate it.
When I see a woman who has tastefully applied her makeup, my first impression is that she cares about her appearance. That means something...I really dislike slovenliness in people.
The older I get the less makeup I wear. I'm in a job where I could get away without wearing any at all but I do my eyes and wear lip gloss.
The weekends and holidays? Never wear the stuff.
I simply don't like having to fool with it much anymore and besides southern summers are so hot and humid that makeup slides right off anyway.
Alcohol...it's cheaper!
It all comes down to caring about your appearance. You can see what a nice haircut and a little makeup will do. And it's not that expensive nor time-consuming. I love to see these types of transformations. The women look beautiful! I am so happy for them.
it really takes very little time at all to
care about how you look. tasteful makeup
and a nice hairstyle go a long way and are
just not the huge effort some say. you don't
have to dress up and get as made up as the
women in the after pics, but a little effort
does show you care about yourself. it takes
as little as 30 mins to shower, dry my hair
(and its long!), get dressed and put on makeup.
Sorry, those aren't "make-up" jobs, those are TOTAL make-overs.
Why is it that us men are so handsome even without makeup? Why are we prettier? I often ask myself these questions while looking in the mirror.
When my daughters were growing up, I always told them that they didn't need to wear makeup because makeup was to cover up ugly and they weren't ugly.
Makeup is a girl's best friend. It is incredible what makeup, hairstyle and color, clothes and attitude will do for your image.
I lived in Buffalo in the early 80s and Kim Alexis (sp?) stopped into the place I was working and I never even recognized her. She was still pretty, just not the sort of pretty that her photos made her look like.
If she don't look beautiful asleep in the morning without makeup, time for boots on the ground and "outa There!"
Kept me single for a long time and then....uh oh!
Looks like the power of lighting to me.
The last photo looks like two different people. Different noses, different smiles, and different chins.
Gee. They look like the "After one drink" and "Last Call" pictures from a typical Saturday night on the town.
