Sorry, those aren't "make-up" jobs, those are TOTAL make-overs.

Why is it that us men are so handsome even without makeup? Why are we prettier? I often ask myself these questions while looking in the mirror.

I know you are kidding but it is a profound question anyway. Men and women all look nice plain. I don't see how there is anything wrong with the before pictures. Displayed like this how must these women feel when they are home alone? Why do we do that to people? Being clean and fresh and combed and honest and good should be the criteria.

I think men are handsome including those who are bald. I don't like all this hair transplant stuff. It must be like millions of dollars to businesses. TV ads try hard to convince men they need hair. My father was bald as a cue ball with a little fringe around the bottom. He won WWII and then came home and raised me. Hair did not matter in the important things.

The makeover is basically makeup and haircut.

Why is it that us men are so handsome even without makeup?

Because of the innate differences in the sexes that we recognize instinctively. Testosterone gives men rougher, thicker skins, so we equate a rougher, thicker, darker skin with masculinity and we consider it attractive if a man has this. But women generally have paler, thinner, smoother skin, without as much hair, so when we see a woman whose skin is a little rough and uneven we consider it less feminine and less attractive. Makeup covers evidence of uneven skin tone; it makes our skins look smooth, small-pored, ungreasy = youthful and feminine = attractive.

Also, as we age our lips get thinner, dryer, and paler, our eyes get smaller, and the fat pads in our faces shift or go away altogether. Male lips are thin and male eyes are small, so this process is okay for them; they're still masculine and attractive. When it happens to women they start looking less feminine, more masculine, thus less attractive. Makeup helps conceal these changes too.

Someone once told me that men have good, even,
tight skin because they USE aftershave and they
DON'T USE anything that will clog their pores
or cause skin blotches - like women's makeup does.
