Constitution Day has come and gone. No sign of Sarah. Frustrated? Yep, I am. Dissappointed? Yep, I am. Do I have a clue what she'll do? Nope. I'm starting to doubt, though, that she'll run. I'm starting to think she's holding out for Perry's VP slot, but pounding on him may not sit well...but Bachman seems to be doing that well herself and deflecting blame. I don't know, I'm flustered a bit. Thanks for listening out there in Freepland. What say or predict you?
I had a couple PDSers screaming bloody murder about a similar comment just last week...Glad to see others share the same mindset ... But be ready for the cries of victimhood soon to follow ;)
People who are constantly told that they are smarter than anyone else, and pride themselves on taking unconventional actions, often make decisions that don’t conform to conventional wisdom.
That’s the reason I haven’t ruled the possibility of her running out. Do you two make good logical arguments against it? Sure.
You must realize though, Sarah is ten times as smart as you. /s Well..., at least that’s part of the conventional wisdom I’ve seen around these parts.
Also Reagan was a two term Governor of California.. Sarah quit in mid term...
I agree!
” You must realize though, Sarah is ten times as smart as you. “
I have a 146 Stanford-Benet I.Q.
Sarah is 1460 ??
LOL!
Sorry but you have that backwards. Today's vast bandwidth of direct-to-America communications possibilities, in fact shortens the political cycle.
No longer does a candidate need to work the media for months to get a message out to the people.
Twitter accomplished that, is about a half second...
Neat post, MM! Thumbs up!
What a great graphic!!! I’m sitting here giggling! {^)
Choose your battles. To me, right now, the important thing RE debating Palin detractors here is to refute lies and misrepresentations, such as the "oil windfall profits tax" and "quitter" charges, because if we don't, readers will think we're silent because we have no defense. Argue the ISSUES -- if they gripe about how Palin endorsed McCain and they're Perry supporters ... point out that Perry invited Palin to endorse him in the governor race and at the time, made it clear that he had no intention of running for President; Palin endorsed him under those circumstances. Now, I think it's probable that Palin would have endorsed him even if he'd indicated that he was interested in the presidency, but nonetheless, Palin endorsed him thinking he had every intention of finishing his term because that's what he told his supporters he'd do. That is hardly anti-Perry -- Palin herself gave him a pass -- but it IS of substance.
On the other hand, "debating" folks who insist she's not running? So what if they think she's not running! Responding to folks who insist in general terms that she's this, that, or the other -- general terms? So what! They look like people who are trying to lower morale among Palin supporters, and because they're so obvious, aren't worth the time for response. What substance is there to debate? Responding to folks solely because of a personal attack? I say, do your best to resist the impulse to fire back an opposite, because the entire argument is smoke, steam, vapor.
MEATY stuff is talking about what Palin has done and is doing, what other candidates have done and are doing. Meaty stuff is when some anti-Palin person (whether they're trying to promote their own candidate instead or simply trying to convince people that Palin isn't worthy of support) states a falsehood or a diliberately misleading partial truth.
Choose your battles. Keep your cool. RESIST ANGER.
And above all, remember that there are apparently folks here who pretend to be supporters of candidates other than Palin and who use that as their justification for dissing Palin, but because they are whipping up such strife and personal animosity between, say, Perry suporters and Palin hopefuls, it is certainly a possiblity that they are in fact people whose SOLE MISSION is to sow discontent, divide, and enmity among WE WHO MUST BE ALLIES regardless of who wins the nomination.
So there!!! ;^)
Obviously you are a rabid PDSer ;)
I don’t disagree in general terms, but all substantive posts devolve into PDS because the trolls take them there. There is little point in doing anything other than ignoring or mocking PDS disruptors.
Now the issues themselves, Definitely discuss them with any rational person, I agree 10000%. The problem comes in when the PDSers turn such discussions to flame wars. Sure it’s deliberate. And sure it happens each and every time. I literally remember one thread that made it past 100 posts before beginning to or completely going to hell. Most get nowhere near that.
On the personal attacks. Ignoring them didn’t work for GWB and it won’t work here. If it gets too personal, hit the abuse button and let Mod make the call. A very wise Viking Kitty once told me that. The PDSers make all sorts of fuss over that but if they didn’t go to the gutter, that wouldn’t be needed would it? ;)
Resist anger? ABSOLUTELY. Though it often isn’t easy to do.
As I said, cyberstalking and quotemining is all you extreme fringies have (I will give Gov. Palin the benefit of the doubt her entire fan base isn’t made up of yahoos like you and your ilk as we have seen on this thread).
Basically these are respectively obsession and lying, which is all you have.
And making fun of my name is so 6th grade — which is well above your maturity level.
Go away, I am done with you and yours for now.
(ps: I predict she ain’t gonna run — you may now begin your abuse)
What abuse? You stated a prediction. Great! What have I said abusive or not factual? If you are going to accuse me of actual criminal activity of deceitful posts, you better be able to back it up.
Here’s my own post history so people can read it for themselves (Am I Cyberstalking myself now?)

Look SJB, get off your PDS kick here! Okay? ;^)
146, isn’t that five points over where they start seeing mental problems? LOL
I don’t have to worry about mental problems, but I do have to plug in every 36 hours, or I run down.
Take care bud...
I have no opinion on that. Some enjoy speculating on the topic; that’s fine with me, but for me, there’s no point or satisfaction in trying to predict Palin’s next move. I’m more interested in preparing the way if she decides to run. :^)
Exactly Finny many have tried and all have failed...I love what she's doing personally....she utters something and it becomes instant bullet points for all the talking heads...LOL!...:oP

Look, I know I am a lunatic, but over the years, I have learned to live with it : )
It is your stance that is ‘an opinion.’ Your stance assumes and throws out days of announcements that have been dreamed up by someone on a Palin ping list.Your overall stance of self appointed campaign manager’s.
What I stated was fact. Palin did indeed say that ‘she gets a kick out of’ saying something and the next day it happens and is in the news.Palin does indeed get 1 mil (or less now who knows?) a year, to comment on Fox News.
