Am I the Only One who is sick and tired of "I'd Hit It"?

I've never posted a straight Vanity before.
But I am sick and tired of this good conservative, generally religious site being overrun by people posting "I'd hit it", whenever a picture of a good-looking girl is displayed.
It's demeaning, it's immoral, and I guess I'm just a prude but announcing to the world that you'd like to have sex with a woman based on her picture, like she was some object, hardly seems like the appropriate attitude on a conservative political site.
But rather than post in response to any particular person, I figured I'd just vent here where everybody could see and make fun of me.
So go ahead. I thank you for whatever indulgence you have given me in this rant.
Back to your regularly scheduled oggling and hitting.

Well, it's Friday anyway. And I'm finally about to sit down and do what I've been trying to get to all day. Diverted from the main task by side issues, trip to the ENT specialist, etc. etc., and now a brief foray into FR.
I learned about the differences between anterior and posterior nasal bleeding, and what I'd has was the latter. He cauterized a couple of spots (silver nitrate) and it stings!

OTOH, I received a query about speaking at a conference & show in Frankfurt next April. If everything is agreed and approved I’m going to be busy traveling next spring. Meetings & conference in Madrid in early March, then a conference in Baltimore a couple weeks later, then Frankfurt a couple weeks later... I’m tired already.

No sensible person would want to put up with it.

Anoreth just called - she’s back in regular training starting tomorrow. For those with her address, the new unit is “Company 181-ZULU, Healy Hall,” replacing the “James Hall” line. Everything else the same.
She doesn’t need additional reading material anymore - she’ll be very busy. Projected completion date is August 28.

Until the end of the month. Then the Undead will leave and the thread will be mainly ignored again.

Miserable weather here at that time of year; cool, humid, and gloomy. Hey! What's wrong with that, it's just like Seattle's delightful winters!
No sensible person would want to put up with it.
Well, there is that...

Hurrah! The Boy's graduation date is August 28 too.
We'll be thinking of Anoreth as we're sitting there in the un-airconditioned discomfort of Parris Island watching his platoon march past!
I have a nice long letter sitting here, I'll just change the envelope. Told her all about my horse, my cats, and my dogs. Hopefully she'll be entertained!

She's gonna shoot the big toe off her right foot if she isn't careful! And she needs to have that right index finger slapped - no finger in the trigger guard until you're on target.
Sheesh, looks ain't everything (I'm living proof, but I beat my husband AND our shooting buddy at the last cowboy match. And shot a clean round too!)

Hey, when we cleaned out my son's room when he left for Parris Island, we took out TWELVE - count 'em, TWELVE - big black plastic garbage bags of TRASH. Including leaves. And spiders. Big hairy ones (well, one, anyway).
I wish I'd taken a "before" photo, but it was too awful to look at. We had to back into the room and clean up from the door inwards without looking behind, like Lot's wife.

What happened at the vet? I didn't hear - I'm sorry, though, cause it sounds like bad news.
And I didn't hear you'd been bit either. Cat bites CAN be nasty - I've had several. Our big Attack Siamese bit The Boy and he didn't tell anybody until red streaks started running up his arm. On a Saturday night. Fortunately our pediatrician is VERY familiar with The Boy, who is somewhat accident prone, and I Emailed him a couple of pics of the arm and he phoned me in some antibiotics which did the trick quite nicely.

Funny! Here's an old Scottish milking croon:
Cusha Cow bonny, let down your milk,
And I will give you a gown of silk,
A gown of silk and a silver tee,
If you'll let down your milk to me.
Whatever it takes . . . when I worked on a dairy farm in VT I just hooked up the milking machine . . . . .

Anoreth will be pleased to get the letter - she’s just not going to be desperate for *anything* to read now, so I can stop tearing up magazines. My parents, brother and sister-in-law, and Mom’s nephew and some cousins should make Anoreth’s graduation. Maybe DP can drive up - it depends on the choir situation. Good luck to the Boy!
Our cat who left home in May came back last weekend, extremely sick. Tom found her, and when I picked her up, she bit me. I went to the doctor 24 hours later, with my hand all swelled up and red streaks up my arm. On my 5th day of antibiotics now (digestive distress not too bad).
The cat couldn’t be saved, and we’re all sorry but also relieved to know what happened to her.

POOR kitty! She had no idea who you were when you bit her, when they're that far gone they're simply reacting to pain. And at least you know that when she was in extremis she came home.
Yoghurt should help the digestive distress -- I hope Frank isn't getting it too!

She had no idea who you were when you bit her ...Hey, she bit me! And she always tried to bite when she lived here, too - just not as hard.
Frank isn't showing any problems from the medicine, fortunately. I'm resistant to fungal infections, and this isn't the first time I have had antibiotics while nursing. I'm taking acidophilus capsules for my innards.

I’m sorry, kids. Monsoon season, and I have to shut down again. My computer has been iffy for the last three days.
With luck I’ll see y’all tomorrow!

"Hey, when we cleaned out my son's room when he left for Parris Island, we took out TWELVE - count 'em, TWELVE - big black plastic garbage bags of TRASH. Including leaves. And spiders. Big hairy ones (well, one, anyway)." I'll have you know that I clean frequently, or at least annually.
The secret is in arranging your lifestyle to make cleaning easier:
Cleaning House
Im glad I have a trailer,
Thats square in its aspect.
It makes the cleaning of the place,
So very much more direct!
When Im through mopping on the floor,
I roll it on its side,
I clean the whole place in a flash!
Who needs a double-wide?
I catch the ceiling and the walls,
As quickly as the floor.
I clean the bedrooms and the halls,
The drain is my front door.
Ive got my stuff all bolted down,
To keep it from migrating,
When social workers come to call,
I get the highest rating!
