well, noone from Alabama made it this year....right now I'm rooting for the cute little Indian kid....this should be interesting this year since there doesn't seem to be anyone really really standing out.....(imho)....and Dancing with the Stars starts next month....can't wait for that either... and I absolutely do not believe any of that crap about Tay Tay.....he could never come across as such a good guy like he does unless he's an oscar caliber actor....

Exactly. It's just sour grapes. If he was a raging jerk, as this blurb claims he is, it wouldn't have been kept quiet this long. Remember all the allegations about Kat and Kellie last season? Everyone said they were snobby, talked only to each other, and weren't very nice to the other female contestants. Those rumors DID start right after they made the top 24.
I wouldn't want to be followed in there either. Kinda creepy. LOL.

I did read neagative things like that after the top 24 and before the finale, but I didn't buy into then and I still don't.
If he was like that, word would have gotten out by a lot of other people that are not under contract to keep their mouths shut. jmo

Taylor HIcks had a great band and was not allowed to use them while under AI contract. And to me the band he is backed by is not nearly as good.
Aubie guy didn't make it to 24, just to the 40. He was good, and when he came out from being with the judges the others were shocked he didn't make it. Fro guy isn't from ALabama, he just auditioned in B'ham. So there are no Alabama contestants this year in the top 24. :( Sorry..
Do you happen to remember how long they are under contract? The number seems to change all the time.
I'm not finding the article I read, but, have come to the conclusion that, either I have him confused with someone else, OR, I misunderstood the wording of the article. It may have been a reference to to his hit and run incident, which seems to have NOT been resolved. The article had said that he probably would have been dropped even if he had made the top 24, once the story came out.
Got to agree on that one.
Ya know, sometimes, these people ask why they didn't make it. Seems to me if they have been in trouble with the law, they might want to be careful about asking. They just might get told why on national tv, and if their crime hadn't been prosecuted yet, it just might happen.
We often say we wonder why so and so didn' t make it, myself included, but, I suppose AI has to be careful about what personal infor they release on these people on national tv.

I remember hearing things like this, too, but not about Taylor. Some of the nasty things I heard were about Chris, but I didn't really believe those either. For the most part all of these people (I was going to call them "kids", but Taylor is only a year younger then me! LOL) are from working class backgrounds and know what it means to work for a living. Wasn't Chris a service writer in car repair place? Hardly living high on the hog. I can't believe that any of them would get a teeny slice of fame and suddenly they are telling everyone to "F- off!" and demanding no one make eye contact with them.
Although, if someone was following me into the john repeatedly "F off" would probably be the nicest thing I said! LOL!!

For all that is holy and precious Please, let them be a clone of Chris Sligh.., even if it's a woman!! I really would prefer a woman rocker, they actually can sing alot more tunes and look a hell of alot better in spandex!

I don't know know why some people are so down on female vocalists. I actually prefer bands that have both male and female vocals. They aren't so limited. Some songs are meant for women to sing and vice versa.
