OMG!!! LMAO!!
"He just sits at home all day sniffing nasal spray."
Really?? How odd. Honestly, she doesn't bother me that much. She seems like a decent girl. I would bet that her BFF, Amanda (AKA, The Devil) won't be so friendly if Antonella makes it big. All of Amanda's bravado is just insecurity rearing it's ugly head.
Hey thanks for the summaries. I missed it last night, so I feel "in the know" now. My sister told me I was falling behind on my Idol homework, and that I have to go read VFTW now.
Thank you Jonny...that is soooooooo sweet...(hehehe)......we are about ready to hea to the St Louis area for a couple of days with Jon....hope to see you Sun night on TAR
Oh please. She had her shot. Bailee didn't learn her lyrics. She didn't deserve to continue. Same rules for everyone. End of story.
LOL The judges passed on a few that were better than a few they kept. Bailey sure isn't the only one and like you said, she had her shot, and forgot the lyrics.
If you guys haven't already, you MUST click the link above and watch Chris Sligh's "Know" video. It is sooooo good. He is so talented. I hate to pic a favorite already, but I'm loving this guy.
Heck, some of 'em were rejected when they sat in that chair, and it was the first and last time we saw them. I guess Marisa performed well in the snippets we saw of her, but must have flubbed in the other rounds we didn't see.
Unlike most years, this year there doesn't seem to be a true standout among the top 24. The ones who caught my eye talent-wise are few:
Chris Sligh
Jared Cotter
Brandon Rogers
Lakisha Jones
The prettiest girl, or at least the one the camera seems to love, is Jordin Sparks. I haven't seen enough of the guys yet to decide if any of them are attractive to me.
I see there's at least one Ace wannabe...the dude named Phil Stacey.
On the whole, this year's group is sort of meh so far. Could political correctness be more evident in their choices? I suspect that's why some of the people we thought were good in the early rounds didn't get in. Unspoken quotas: blacks, Hispanics, gays, a couple of Asians, maybe a couple of mixed-race hopefuls.
Anyway, next week we finally get to actually see these people perform in the spotlight and we'll know who the serious contenders are and who the wannabes are.
I know the feeling. My support is seriously swinging that way.
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! Not Federov again!!!
a friend posed these questions and I don't know the answers. Maybe someone here can help???
"Ok, so lets say Chris Sligh wins AI. Can he use those guys as his band, or does the AI contract that he wins give him a different band?
And is this an original song by Chris/his band?"
I caught the end of that and wondered what in the world it was all about. The kid must have money to burn. Hope they do a follow up on it!
woo hoo! He may not have picked my favorite school, but I always support the Bama contestants (unless they totally stink, but that doesn't happen). So we have the Aubie guy, the fro guy..anyhone else from Alabama?
Yes!!
Wow! Thanks for posting that!
I agree with you. The guys all seem so similar to me and he stands out. He won't be the Idol, but I wouldn't be surprised if he finishes towards the middle of the group, around # 13-15 or maybe even sneaking in to the top 12. Far worse have been there.
I know this is going to sound horrible (like that has ever stopped me before), but, IMO, it's because of his looks. The record industry wants guys who look like Justin Timberlake and David Beckham, not Ricky from "Better Off Dead." I don't agree with it at all, but that's what I am betting the record people are thinking.
IMO, it's totally dumb. Women love musicians. Period. Give a guy with a bit of charisma and stage presence a guitar and a mic stand and he's HOTT. Yes, in call caps with 2 capital T's.
